Great game. Switch version is amazing with smooth framerate, crisp graphics, and looks BEAUTIFUL on handheld mode. If you love oldschool Duke Nukem 3D, you'll love this game.

The Switch port is awful. Unstable 30fps in a game that has graphics from 1996, which heavily impacts the fast-paced, hardcore gameplay. The aiming controls are completely messed up and need to be fixed in a patch. Big disappointment after having played the excellent PC early access build.

I will update the score once a patch or fix comes out, with today ( a week after release ) the promised patch for the messed up control there is no inverted y axis on Switch which makes it unplayable for me. Unstable framerate - once the game saves between areas it looks like the game crashes, (screen tearing). The game looks promising, the PS4 Version shows the game can be great,I will update the score once a patch or fix comes out, with today ( a week after release ) the promised patch for the messed up control there is no inverted y axis on Switch which makes it unplayable for me. Ion Fury is a must play experience for anybody who wants a challenge and misses the aesthetic of a ’90s first person shooter.

Ion Fury is nothing short of a giant love letter to the classic shooters of the 1990s. From the cheesy one-liners to the secret-filled stages, the game oozes style in spades. Though it doesn't improve much over its predecessors, Ion Fury really doesn't need to. Fans of classic shooters will definitely not want to miss this, while fans of modern shooters looking for a change will find an experience not too far outside of their comfort zone.

With its frantic action and sharp level design, Ion Fury on the Nintendo Switch is more than worthy of the time and efforts of any players who enjoy a more old school experience that didn't stop in time.
