   I really like this game. It reminds me of the Binding of Isaac but even better because you get to play as a cute cat with a gun. Sometimes itI really like this game. It reminds me of the Binding of Isaac but even better because you get to play as a cute cat with a gun. Sometimes it can be a little scary because everything moves so fast at you but once you realize that you have catlike reflexes you can move before the robots even know where you're going and smash their metal tucuses. The only thing I didn't like about this game is that I wanted to kill other cats but it doesn't let you do that. Hopefully when they made a sequal they add a way to fight other animals because it would be way more fun since robots do a lot to help people. Anyway, this is still the best game for the switch since Splatoon 2.… Expand

So, I have my friend come over at 8 thinking we'll get down on some Zelda. Not the case... Instead I say "Let's try out this new free game". Thinking it maybe wasn't going to be the best game ever, "but hey". It's free, so don't complain... haha No, I was fortunately completely wrong! We hung out playing this game for like four hours straight! Learning everything about it and what to do... I have to say I love this game! Don't listen to any negative reviews. I'm here to give facts and my opinions about the game. Let's dive into it - For one, I love all the different cosmetics. You can buy 3 different items for clothing which include; headgear/hats, pair of glasses, and the style of cat. Make the most bad ass kitty you can! Next, we have Quests and Bounties! Now you enter out on your quest. You move from location to location away from your starting location. I learned and really like the fact you can retrace your steps back to the main shop. The quests make you travel through different places, doing all these cool things including saving Orca the whale, and rescuing some sheep, and more. I was able to use both my controllers for better aiming as well as my friend! If you don't know how to sync, you would just connect your controllers to his Switch then remove and join the game. Money system - Awesome and Fair... You both go in killing and collecting gold. You actually share it, but before you go and say, "That's dumb!" listen. Say you both collected 1000 together, well those cool glasses your friend just bought with both your guys' money will also be unlocked for you! Best way is to take turns working for the item you want. There's no buying potions, food, or weapons. Instead as you kill, enemies will drop the weapons as power ups kinda... Very simple controls, and very fun for CO-OP! Have up to 4 players going from room to room, protecting each other and kicking ass! Revive system - Here's a quick example... Your so close to killing this mob, but you go down. You friend has to stay alive for just a few. To be honest, the games harder than it looks! :) I'm not 100% sure, but I think the farther you proceed, the harder the room/stage gets?? Very fun and challenging in a way! Now we come to end with my results on how i feel about Kitten Squad and if it's worth playing. Well my review said enough! I really like and enjoy this game! My honest rating for Kitten Squad - 9.0/10 The reason for the missing 1 is because of things that i either dislike or that i thought needed to be added... I downloaded this game on launch on switch and i am having a great time. although its free, free games arent supposed to be the best, but i have enjoyed this game. the full character customization is cool, the graphics are always in 60fps and are really cute. there are a lot of quest to do as well but can get boring over time. one of the best parts is the local multiplayer. being able to play with 3 other people is really cool. i suggest you download this game and give it a shot. there is even DLC on the way.… Expand

   This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A game that aims to end animal cruelty with guilt tripping and a cat with a carrot gun. The game itself is not very complicated but functions rather decently as a shooter. The selection of animals is bizarre considering it is called "Kitten Squad" and yet you can play as an elephant. Are elephants now apart of the feline family now? Explains a lot about the Dumbo film but I digress. The game is layered in that feel bad vibe that PETA is known for. Who could forget their other classics such as: Pokemon Black and Blue, Cooking Mama: Mama Kills Animals and the PETA Striptease Quiz(I'm serious here). The game lacks any major story besides saving a different animal by repeating the same task over and over again. You will get sick of it if you play by yourself. The multiplayer option does make it more entertaining as you and your friends will laugh at what you are seeing. The game fails at achieving anything substantial as these are the same messages we have heard before and making a game about a cat that can fire lazers does not change anything. You make more people aware but more people are shooting abominations with a canon-carrying cat than reading and listening to what you have to say. It did not work when it was released it in 2015 for the PS4 and I doubt it will work here.
   
   In conclusion: it is playable, it can be fun but don't expect to much from it. Great goofing around game but a game you can skip… Expand

   Putting aside the game play - which is awful - Kitten Squad isn't even trying to be a game. It's blatant PETA propaganda aimed at confusing children.
