Dec 18, 2017I’m pleased to say that Letter Quest Remastered does a pretty fine job of carving out a place for itself in the lineup of Switch gamers looking for something more casual. If you like to get out your thesaurus and flex your vocabulary while having to contend with the obstacles your enemies love to throw in your path, it does a fine job. What helps distinguish it is the level of strategy you’ll be able to employ while doing so.

Nov 27, 2017Letter Quest Remastered not only manages to successfully combine the wild pairing of Scrabble and RPGs, but also manages to make it incredibly fun. You’ll find yourself doing little other than furious spelling and the purchasing of skills and upgrades throughout the entire 10+ campaign, yet these things remain enjoyable and keep you interested from start to finish. If your confidence in using the English language isn’t as strong as it could be you shouldn’t feel threatened by the idea of this game, it's worth noting that you can steadily work your way through levels at your own pace and by using the weapon upgrades provided – although we would suggest that people with a natural linguistic flair might get the most enjoyment out of it. Either way, a lot fun is waiting for you in this title and we’d urge you to give it a go.

Nov 29, 2017Letter Quest Remastered is a fun twist on the traditional word puzzle game by introducing RPG elements, although the game begins to run out of fresh ideas, the foundation of this game was such fun that it was still a blast to play through. The game needs a chance to flesh out its ideas more but in the mean time I suggest you get the dictionary out and play this game.

May 21, 2018As bizarre as the idea of Grim Reapers, turn-based battles and Scrabble-like wordplay all together sounds, Letter Quest Remastered really makes it work, and enjoyably so. The harsh difficulty hikes in later story missions can be jarring for the wallet-grinding they then necessitate, and there isn't a great deal of diversity in enemy design and environment, but once the addictive nature of word building gets its hooks in, prying them off isn't easy.
