Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 E3 2019 Trailer | Nintendo Direct 2019
Jul 18, 2019Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 is comfort food. It retains the multiplayer dungeon crawling and love of the source material that made the two previous titles enjoyable, but it also elevates the action just enough to make it better and more entertaining than what came before. Not all of it works as well as it should, yet it’s vision isn’t compromised by the missteps it makes. You’re going to have a good time when you play Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. And sometimes, that’s all you really need.
Jul 29, 2019It all makes for a packed and enjoyable experience with plenty to offer for fans for Marvel and classic beat-em-ups. The roster of characters is vast and excellently portrayed, the story is fun and the moment to moment combat remains enjoyable throughout. Some uninspired level design, camera quirks and unfortunate design choices around character levelling keeps it from the upper echelons of the Switch library but grab a couple of friends and it’s hard not to have a seriously good time with this one regardless of your level of affinity for the world of Marvel.
Aug 5, 2019Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order doesn't try to be more than it is, a fun romp with characters everyone has come to know over the past decade. While fighting with the camera can be frustrating at times, the game itself is extremely enjoyable especially if you’re a fan of Diablo-style RPGs. Additionally, it serves as a great stepping on point for anyone unfamiliar with the franchise and is accessible to any and all fans.
Jul 19, 2019While Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 is fun, I sometimes wished it pushed the envelope a bit more and tried something new. The game excels in multiplayer and playing your favourite characters from the Marvel Universe never gets old. Its combat is fun and gets better the more you upgrade your heroes. Its story is very cliche but that's expected. All in all its a fun pick up and play multiplayer brawler.
Aug 1, 2019Strong post-launch support like this only really matters if the game itself is worth playing, and we can't really say that about Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. At its best, the game is a mediocre brawler, and at its worst, it is an incoherent mess with a nightmare camera, frustrating battles, and ugly graphics. Anyone hoping for a return to form for the franchise will be disappointed, to say the least.

First of all the game itself is a diablo like action game with quite a big Marvel roster to play with. Each Character has different and good to combo with abilities. If you like the universe and the gamestyle its definitly worth the try.
For me the cartoonish look is fine. The campaign itself comes with a lot of cutscenes, which are good voiced. I had a lot of fun with the presentation of the game.
Big roster big fights. You fight in different locations against a lot of opponents and bosses. These Fights are quite challenging but a lot of fun. After the campaign you gain access to more difficulties and other game modes.
For me a well made Marvel game on the switch, which you can play on the run or besides other things. I highly recommend it. 8/10… Expand

While the combat,Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 is a fun game with a know formula that sticks the landing but just can't make it clean. While the combat, characters, game modes and abilities are fun and fulfill the expectations from this game series, it has some techinal issues that really let it down. For one, the camera can be your worst enemy some of the time, and can get really annoying in local multiplayer. Two, while the story is nothing superb but also not terrible, the amount of dialogue and replay value are a letdown compared with the original. I remember in the original how you could unlock Dr. Doom as a playable character and if you took him to the final boss fight, there was this conversation that was amazing where enemy Dr. Doom accused his doppleganger for working with the heroes. Moments like that are just not in this 3rd entry, and while the added DLC's with more characters and costumes are welcome, still doesn't feel quite enough considering how long it's been since the first game showed that kind os stuff. Fun game still, and much better that Square´s "live service" but I wish that they put just a little bit more effort in a fututer MUA 4 and really give us one for the ages. For now, this can be a fun alliance to join.… Expand

It caters to esports tryhards too much by adding unnecessary mechanics likeI played MUA 1 and 2 and love them but this game is trash. It caters to esports tryhards too much by adding unnecessary mechanics like synergys and stagger bars that make the game repetitive and not casual for the avg gamer. I do like a challenge but when it comes boss fights, the stagger bar just makes the game repetitive and unfun. The boss stands there zapping you while you hit him or her over and over again and do no damage until the stagger bars breaks then after 3 good hits in, his stagger meter is filed back up repeating the same thing over and over for 30 minutes. They also added unblockable attacks and 1 hit KOs that can't be dodged or blocked (which is spammed over and over in the boss fight) for the boss's of the game. I always took this game for the casual player but looks like even MUA is getting sucked into the Esport, statistic stat, repetitive, rpg, cash grab. This is not league of legends I just want to relax and play a **** game not nerd out over it. I uninstalled the game and wont be buying the next one. I really don't see the point in making a game based off superheroes (for kids and casual gamers) so **** hard. If tryhards want to tryhard go to fortnight,COD, or League of legends.… Expand
