No deep experience hides in Mom Hid My Game, but it’s an absolutely joyous romp. This is absurdist video game comedy and that’s awesome and unique.

Mom Hid my Game! is short, sweet, and delightful - a fun game to enjoy on little breaks between other games. It's quick to fire up and get into, and the puzzles are pretty fun, if not the most challenging things in the world. Even your failures are quick to bounce back from. It loses out a bit by repeating some of its challenges and at times not being sensible, but it's otherwise a fun and unusual puzzle game you owe it to yourself to try.

Mom Hid My Game! makes up for its minimalistic visuals and simple mechanics with absurd humor and untamed creativity. [03/2018, p.63]

Mom Hid My Game! Is a weird and wonderful puzzle game that, whilst short in length, is a joy to play. Much like other touch based games on the platform, it is already accessible (and free) on mobile, but the Switch-centric polish makes it feel feature complete in your library. If the abstract art style draws you in, It's definitely worth a spin.

Mom Hid My Game! is a tough sell, especially when its mobile counterparts are arguably a better experience (and free, no less). But, if you've got five dollars to spend and you're specifically looking for a charming puzzle-based escape game for your Switch or 3DS that clocks in a little over an hour, this might be for you. If you're like Fiddy however, with a lot livin' to do before you die and got no time to waste, maybe pass on this.

Mom Hid My Game! is a weirdly hilarious title that suffers from a host of problems, but its flaws are what make the title enjoyable. If you have an hour to kill and want something cheap to purchase on your Switch, you should take it for a spin.

Mom Hid My Game is as easy to adore as it is to dismiss. Sure, it's been out for a year (and is free) on iOS, it's simple, short and oh so random. It's also quite endearing, then, that the modest presentation hides a cute and deceptively astute little game with a fun idea and a heartfelt moral. It's one of the most idiosyncratic games on the eShop, and while its limited credentials and low production are very typical of its mobile roots, the potential of having more content, more complex puzzles or better visuals would in actuality take away its charm. It's a bit of a hard sell on a system with so many fantastic games, but if you like the quirkiness of something like Warioware and you're willing to embrace it for what it is, it will make you smile, as a well as make you think in more ways than one.

This should have won GOTY. I mean, look at the graphics! The developers must have taken two hours to make this game! It's simply amazing.

Mom Hid My Game! is actually not as bad as I thought it would be. I have to admit I did buy the game so I can make a joke of the title (but the original iOS title is really the joke-worthy title) and because it was one of the few games I wanted from the Nintendo Indie presentation back in August. But the game was actually very creative. I got a laugh about how extreme the boy's mom was about hiding the game, like by Day 4 she hides it in a crocodiles mouth. I do have one complainant, Day 9 is broken on the Switch version, because it is missing a fly in the window that is needed to knock over the obstacles in front of the closet... but they end up toppling over on themselves somehow without it. I only know this because I downloaded 'Hidden my game by Mom' (which was very poorly translated by the way) just to see what levels they included in the switch version and if it was just a port of the app (which it wasn't, it was collections of levels from that app and 'Hidden my game by Mom 2'). The ending of the game was actually kind of deep and hit an emotional chord with me, I was very surprised that they could get some sort of story element in this game. And after you beat all 50 days you do get some post game content, its kind of fun and every time you complete it you get a new end animation for the post game content and there was a lot of work out into that and its probably going to be overlooked by a lot of people. This game is probably going to be overlooked by a lot of people. If you have some spare money in your e-shop and you can stand point and click games its a nice 1-2 hours of your time.

I like to buy simple games to play during my lunch hour at work, but this is way too simple.... I honestly regret my puchase even if it was only a few dollars. 95% of the game is way too eazy and you basically do not have to think about anything. Only 3-4 days out of the 50 days were kind of ''challenging'' lol I personally do not recommend this title to anybody over 12 years old. Expand
