Survivor of the Raccoon City incident depicted in previous Resident Evil games, Claire now works for the anti-bioterrorism organization Terra Save. Moira Burton, is attending her welcome party for Terra Save when unknown armed forces storm the office. Claire and Moira are knocked unconscious and awaken later to find themselves in a dark and abandoned detention facility. Working together, they must find out who took them and to what sinister end. Will Claire and Moira make it out alive and discover whats led to them being taken to this remote island? A story of twists and turns will have players guessing the next step at every turn.

Headed for the remote prison island in search of his missing daughter, Barry Burton meets brand new character Natalia Korda, a little girl who has a strange power that allows her to sense enemies and hidden items. Using this skill alongside Barrys proven combat abilities, players will need to alternate between the two to survive the mysterious island and find Moira. With terrifying enemies waiting around every dark corner, Barry will need to use his ammo and weapon supply wisely, in classic survival horror style.

Evolving the episodic chapter set-up of the original Resident Evil Revelations, Resident Evil Revelations 2 will initially release as a weekly series of episodic downloads beginning on February 24, 2015. Players also have the option of choosing Complete Season or Full Bundle, ensuring fans have access to each episode as it releases along with additional bonus content. Each episode in Resident Evil Revelations 2 includes Raid mode content and two full playable scenarios focused on the previously announced Claire and Moira campaign and the newly confirmed Barry and Natalia storyline.

Resident Evil fans have long been clamoring for a return to form for the series and with Revelation 2 it was clearly a step in the right direction. Blending light puzzle solving and survival horror elements with the more modern over-the-shoulder perspective delivers a truly menacing experience. Some unfortunate design decisions, mainly forcing the player to switch between characters, hold it back from being among the pantheon of greats in the series. However an interesting story, horrifyingly beautiful environments, and rock solid gameplay provide more than enough to look past its shortcomings.

This sequel still is a great cooperative game –and very enjoyable on your own–, and this version shows how well Switch can handle “big” games.

While Resident Evil Revelations 2 borrows sparingly from its contemporaries, it is better than it's budget would have you believe it to be. The story is just the right amount of schlock with a smaller yet more focused cast. The tension is actually present in a moody well realised setting. The overall game feel lends itself to a much more enjoyable experience when compared to its predecessor too. Add in a comprehensive (yet slightly grindy) Raid Mode and you've got yourself a winner.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 is an awesome way to enjoy the game again in a portable machine with an interesting control system and a good technical appearance.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 still is a pretty good entry in the series from Capcom. With great horror elements, better in terms of gunplay (motion controls rules) and full of content for Nintendo Switch.

The Switch version of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 capably handles this entertaining horror experience. The frame rate is steady and the motion controls are mostly worth using. Load times can drag on, but they aren’t frequent enough to be a big issue. If you appreciate the thrill of sharing intimate zombie encounters with a friend, the ability to play this local co-op story with one Joy-Con a piece makes it a handy game to have on your Switch.

    Really, it feels like shovelware.

A pesar de los largos tiempos de cargas este juego es increíble, pero lo que más me gusta es la posibilidad de jugar a pantalla dividida.

    Great game overall.
Sadly it is a bit short in my eyes. Also the big selling point of Resident Evil games that they are frightening isnt really the case. I dont find any RE game frightening at all (compared to lets say Outlast). It is more an atmospheric shooter than a horror survival game but it is still good.
Absolutely worth the money you spent for it.

EDITED: Since finishing the game I've bumped this up to a 8. Replayability factor is crazy high.

OLDER POST: Never played a Resident Evil game before—I’m 3/4 of the way through the main campaign—and if this is any measure of the RE formula I’ll be visiting every previous entry when finished. Wasn’t sure this would be for me but I finally bit (thanks to a huge discount) and genuinely love it.

For someone who’s over straight-up first person shooters (me!) this offers a great mix of story, stealth, puzzles and zombie kills, complemented by pretty sweet graphics for Switch—the quarry stage is stunning on a big screen.

    Highly recommended.
