I enjoyed the game so much, I immediately tracked down its predecessor, Sparkle Unleashed, also available on Xbox One.
Sparkle 2 is a puzzle game that provides a nice surprise thanks to its user-friendly approach.
A Zuma-like tile-matching video game, with an effective gameplay also due to a couple of new ideas. It could have been greatly benefited by a more inspired artistic design.
Sparkle 2 is not a game that is going to keep you entertained forever, but as a stand alone puzzle game it’s a great time filler amongst the other titles that you may be wanting to play.
Probably better suited to a smartphone but mildly diverting for an hour or two. [March 2016, p.87]
In conclusion, Sparkle 2 is a lot like Sparkle Unleashed, which in turn was a lot like PopCap's Zuma.
Sparkle 2 is a clone of an almost 20 year old game and does nothing interesting with the core idea introduced in Puzz Loop.
