Feb 2, 2020If you’re after a new addition to your social multiplayer pile, this is an easy sell. Sure, it’s a little old considering its long history on myriad platforms, but it’s hard to deny just how enjoyable and easy it is to pick up, even for younger Nintendo Switch owners. The support for local and online multiplayer is great, as is the ability to play through the story mode solo, but the intermittent issues with performance in handheld mode does put a few wrinkles in this hero’s costume.

Feb 10, 2020As a whole, SpeedRunners happens to be yet another winning party game for the most convenient console on the market. The simple yet well-thought-out structure of the gameplay certainly makes an impulse purchase easy when expecting friends over. It may seem like a long time coming for those who have been pining for a portable version of SpeedRunners to hit the Nintendo eShop. Well, it’s here now and, three years later, players can finally compete wherever they go.

Feb 2, 2020It may be a few years old but SpeedRunners holds up fantastically and it's a must-play for any local multiplayer enthusiast.

Feb 6, 2020My time spent with Speedrunners on the Switch was more than enough to change my mind from my previous impression. Overall, it’s a solid game for single players, but local co-op is a blast and should be welcome at any gaming party.

Feb 5, 2020While not perfectly suited for the small screen, SpeedRunners provide a fantastic multiplayer experience that is easy to jump in, but hard to master. If you’re a solo player, it may not keep you hooked for long, but grab some friends, and you’ll have fun like never before.

Feb 4, 2020Overall, SpeedRunners provides the foundation for an excellent party game and is certainly enjoyable with the right crowd. However, the lack of multiple modes and sparse single player content make this package feel like more of a mini-game. With the Switch hosting hundreds of multiplayer games that deliver a similar but fuller experience, like Runbow, it’s hard to recommend this one. If you’re looking for a more robust multiplayer experience, you may want to look elsewhere.
