This game has some good levels with decent platforming. My problem with this game is that it costs $10 more than Rehydrated, yet the gameplay and animations are copied and pasted from the Rehydrated game. To make matters worse, the greedy developers didn't even bother to include multiplayer. Rehydrated had a singleplayer campaign and multiplayer for $30, while Cosmic Shake is only half of the game for $40. That's pathetic.

As I mentioned earlier, there is no multiplayer. So once you beat the story, there is literally not a reason to play this game again. Charging $40 for a game with no replay value is a cash grab. I'm getting real sick and tired of these lazy developers increasing the prices of games, only to give us less content in return. If anything, we should expect more content. I only recommend this game until it is $15 or less.

I wish I liked playing this game but it was kinda boring. With the only pluses being the music diverse levels and cool references from the show. However it had very outdated combat and platforming that got repetitive after a few levels.

The game offers a fun experience with 3d plataform along with a nostalgic trip around SpongeBob franchise.

Very Nice 3D Plattforming Game with funny Spongebob humor. I really like how perfect the developers implements the character of the TV Series into the Game. Everyone who watched and enjoyed the TV Series in his Childhood will also have fun with that Game.
The Gameplay works fine, the Showplaces are looking great. and also the technique works mostly absolutely okay.

It's no surprise that THQ has a good track record of games featuring Nickelodeon. The Cosmic Shake is a charming Spongebob video game. Fans will enjoy this game very well as well as fans of the genre.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Look, don't get me wrong. The gameplay is fine, the world's are creative, and it's got some good BOBB vibes to it. My biggest issue, though, is that Madame Kassandra feels like another bland villain. She doesn't seem to have any real bearing on the plot. It feels like she's just kinda...there. There's no buildup to her being the bad guy either at the beginning, nor anywhere else. Her intentions are so clear from the get-go, as well as throughout the rest of the game, that even newcomers might realize she's the villain right off the bat. A story revolving around who she is or why she's doing what she does would've been nice. On top of that, the final boss is so...uncreative. It should've revolved around her more instead of using Squidward as a host. I'm sorry, but I can't rate the game any higher because of this. Madame Kassandra is a terrible character...and the sad part is that SHE DIDN'T HAVE TO BE! Give her a more convincing disguise at the beginning, make her dialogue more innocent, have her reveal herself and explain her reasons near the end, and cut Squidward out entirely during the final boss fight, and she would've been MUCH more interesting. If you're going to make a villain, DO IT RIGHT!!! Expand

The best Spongebob game I have played so far! It’s not perfect, but it’s so much fun to play! Beautiful colours, nice story and fun gameplay!

    Definitely recommend!

Cosmic shake is a slightly better game than BFBB but still has the same issues that BFBB had such as unstable framerates and pop-in. Still pretty good though since it's fun to move around.

Coupled with the timeless charm and humour of SpongeBob, The Cosmic Shake can be a lot of fun—just don’t go in expecting anything groundbreaking or especially polished.

This game is totally amusing and entertaining, even with a few glitches that might cause a slight slow down in-between scenes.

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is the kind of thing I love to champion — a mid-budget licensed platformer with a few rough edges that could have easily existed in the ’00s. Sure, it’s not breaking any new ground and could use a little polish when it comes to level design and performance on the Switch, but the final product is a joyous ride from start to finish. For fans of the series like me or anyone else who can’t get enough of that yellow sponge, this undersea multiverse adventure is worth checking out.
