Mar 31, 2021Tales from the Borderlands is just as good as you remember it. The characters feel real and human, while the plot is compelling and worth seeing through to the end. This port could have used a few upgrades or even just kept the choice summaries, but at the end of the day it’s a game I’ll replay for years to come.

This is ten glorious hours' worth of top-notch entertainment with a world-class cast, consistently excellent writing that manages to perfectly balance comedy and drama, non-stop twisted action and a cast of kooky characters that are a joy to spend time with. This really is the best the Borderlands universe has ever been, and a game that everyone should experience at least once.

Thanks to the high-level writing or the ability to unite in a simple and immediate way so different game worlds, Tales from the Borderlands is a graphic adventure that, despite everything, is recommended both for lovers of the genre and for Borderlands fans, in the hope to be able to welcome, sooner or later, even a second season.

Apr 25, 2021Tales from the Borderlands is a port that can be improved on Switch, with one especially notable loss: the fact that you can no longer see the decisions of other players at the end of the chapters. But, if we ignore issues like that, we will enjoy an interesting adventure.

Mar 29, 2021Luckily for Tales from the Borderlands, its minor annoyances aren't nearly enough to mar the incredibly rewarding narrative experience. While still humorous, the writing is much more nuanced than that of the mainline Borderlands games, offering an impressive amount of character development. The whole cast interacts in ways unmatched by the rest of the series, and achieves some of the most impactful narrative beats in the whole franchise, all while having player choices impact future events.
