Sep 23, 2019Untitled Goose Game is the most charmingly misanthropic game that has ever been created - and that's something I didn't even think was possible.
-
Sep 23, 2019Only two or three hours long, Goose Game doesn’t overstay its welcome, though there is an expanded list of small mischiefs to accomplish post-credits, if you still wish to continue terrorising the innocent. Certainly not fowl, most definitely worth a gander, it’s a whimsical little game full of charm and joy and a wonderful experience for just about anyone.
-
Oct 21, 2019Given its absurdity, it would be easy to look at Untitled Goose Game and simply dismiss it as a joke taken way too far. But the reality is far different. This is one of the most enjoyable games I’ve played this year, and it’s well worth checking out.
-
Dec 11, 2020The elements of this game all work together wonderfully to charm and amuse you through its 3-or-so hours. From the vibrant art design to the charming characterisation, this British town is ready to hate this goose with a passion. This game just holds so much in every inch of its world and the way it comes together makes it so hard to not completely fall in love.
-
Dec 30, 2019Untitled Goose Game is a gem that hits all the right marks. There's some real appeal in using an otherwise innocuous animal sowing chaos in a sleepy village, and it helps that the results aren't violent at all. The game's short length keeps the experience from wearing thin, but there's enough here to keep you busy. With a pleasant presentation, Untitled Goose Game is a title where you'll both cherish the initial experience and enjoy showing it off to friends to see their reactions.
-
Nov 27, 2019Those who play this goose game will enjoy it very much, disturbing the poor characters that inhabit a peaceful Anglo-Saxon style town. The only negative point that this game has is that it will leave us wanting more fun.
-
Oct 17, 2019Untitled Goose Game is fantastic. The absurd premise is executed to near perfection to deliver a truly unique experience that goes beyond the silly gag of watching a pesky goose cause havoc. The gorgeous, minimalist visuals and the sporadic audio cues combine to create a rich, colourful world that’s just fun to mess around with. Granted, the game is a bit of a cakewalk, but the experience is so utterly delightful and silly that you’ll be more than happy to show it off to friends or play through it all over again in a few months.
-
Oct 7, 2019Untitled Goose Game‘s consistent, simple themes are not dull by any stretch. In fact, the entire basis of the game revels in its simplicity, making this title easy to pick up, enjoy, and have a few laughs along the way. Completing one list of tasks left me yearning for the next list of hilarious assignments as I waddled to the next area. The only drawback to the game’s simplicity is that replayability is likely not in the cards once you’ve experienced all the quirky scenarios it has to offer. Still, Untitled Goose Game is great fun and completely worth its value for that one experience.
-
Sep 26, 2019Prepare to ruin innocent people's days as you run around honking and throwing their stuff around in Untitled Goose Game. It's a simple and fun puzzle/stealth/goose simulator with clever ideas and a lively world.
-
Sep 25, 2019Some will say that the pleasure is short-lived, but Untitled Goose Game is a real laugh from start to finish. It offers fun infiltration gameplay, a very neat art style, and excellent animation — all against the backdrop of Debussy's Preludes, which adapt to the action on the screen. In short, the experience is simply divine. Few independent developers who have risked making a 3D game can boast of having achieved such an outstanding result. You will certainly not regret the few hours it takes to complete Untitled Goose Game.
-
Sep 23, 2019At the end of the day – the long hard day of being a naughty little goose – Untitled Goose Game is something truly unique and special. It’s a beautifully clean and simple puzzle game which will have you howling with delight, both when you play it through for the first time, and when you pass the controller to your partner saying, “You absolutely need to play this game where you're a naughty little goose…”
-
Sep 20, 2019Untitled Goose Game is a well-crafted hijinks simulator which captures whimsical misadventures of a bird just being a real prick for no real reason. While the game is short, it fits nicely on the ‘doesn’t overstay its welcome’ shelf, meaning it’s simple to play through in an evening. Mechanics are easy to learn (button inputs can be customised) and the stealth is light on strategy. But what’s ultimately delivered is a neat little package of an open sandbox where you can run amok without consequences to great, maniacal effect.

Nintendo Force MagazineApr 29, 2020Go ahead and treat yourself to a delightful afternoon of spreading havoc all over a quaint town. You won't regret it! [Issue #43 – November/December 2019, p. 25SW]
-
Oct 14, 2019Untitled Goose Game is a joke. A great one. Sure, an evil goose is an excellent starting point, but you need a great awareness of how gags work to make people laugh with it.
-
Oct 1, 2019Untitled Goose Game proves that you don’t need complex mechanics or an involved story to make a great game. It takes a simple premise — you’re a goose here to make trouble — and spins it out into a short but extremely satisfying slapstick journey. Untitled Goose Game is effortlessly funny, succeeding as much on its physical comedy as its clever puzzles.
-
Sep 23, 2019Although short, it is a hoot from start to finish and easily one of the most fun games you will play this year.
-
Sep 20, 2019It may be brief, but Untitled Goose Game is worth taking a gander at. With its clever puzzle structure, charming art direction, and a soundtrack rife with Gershwin influence, it's an absolutely grand way to spend an afternoon.
-
Sep 20, 2019A lovely small package of fun. Being this naughty has never felt this good.
-
Oct 18, 2019Untitled Goose Game is a body-swapping fantasy that transforms any would-be suburban miscreant into a waddling force of mischief and destruction. Instead of putting your finger in everyone’s freshly baked pie, you menace around town and devastate an ordinary Saturday afternoon. Untitled Goose Game is philosophical exercise to determine if the conniving will of a large annoying bird is either innate programming from a bored deity or a product of our broken society.
-
Oct 10, 2019Not everyone will find Untitled Goose Game funny but it's definitely a clever and charming game that'll get your imagination going.
-
Edge MagazineOct 10, 2019What a laugh. [Issue#338, p.104]
-
Oct 3, 2019Given its unintimidating nature, the only question that should hang over any prospective buyer’s head is whether the idea of watching a sneaky goose make everyone’s day worse is amusing. If the answer is yes – and it damn well ought to be – Untitled Goose Game stands as evidence that even the silliest idea can birth a surprise hit when applied with conviction. I doubt anyone will make a better misanthropic goose game anytime soon.
-
Oct 2, 2019Untitled Goose Game is a short and sweet village sandbox of chaos, with probably the most laughs you’ll have in a videogame this year. Goose tier.
-
Oct 1, 2019There’s something absolutely delightful about Untitled Goose Game’s harmless havoc. The game may be short, but it’s a memorable experience that’s worth a look if you’re in need of a good laugh.
-
Sep 24, 2019Though its titular goose may present itself as the town’s true menace, every meddling grandma and gossiping baby boomer in that town deserves the honking that they get.
-
Sep 23, 2019Completely charming and wonderfully presented stealth puzzle game, that turns a horrible goose into one of the year’s most endearing video game stars.
-
Sep 20, 2019All in all, Untitled Goose Game is a cute, short experience that is hurdled with some camera issues, but makes up for in it’s charm.
-
Sep 20, 2019Untitled Goose Game is a game about being a bully, but an adorable one. As a pesky goose, you honk, waddle, and drive human beings nuts—I assume as real-life geese do. The occasional frustrating task barely holds back Untitled Goose Game when it's at its best: where you're setting up elaborate (or not) situations to annoy people and ruin their day.
-
Sep 20, 2019The important thing is that Untitled Goose Game is a hoot. It's a comedy game that focuses on making the act of playing it funny, rather than simply being a game that features jokes. Wishing that it was longer speaks to how much fun I had with it. There's nothing else quite like Untitled Goose Game; it's charming and cute despite being mean, and both very silly and very clever. It's also probably the best non-racing game ever to feature a dedicated "honk" button.
-
Sep 20, 2019There’s a cheeky push and pull between stealthily making mischief and honking in someone’s face and waddling away gleefully. It’s safe to say that if you had a chuckle at Untitled Goose Game’s trailers, you’ll have several more enacting all the fowl play yourself.
-
Sep 20, 2019Untitled Goose Game encapsulates the pleasure in poking fun without ever turning nasty. And you're a goose, which is great.
-
Sep 20, 2019Video games have made me a god, a superhero, and a savior of planets, but rarely have I felt more powerful than in Untitled Goose Game. Being given control of this feathered menace and armed with a checklist of hilarious, dickish tasks to complete is some of the most fun I’ve had with a game all year. My only real complaint is its fairly short runtime – I would have gladly spent hours longer goosing around. But even still, the charming design of its world and the clever challenges within it had me laughing, smiling, and eagerly honking the whole way through.
-
Sep 20, 2019Untitled Goose Game boasts more inventiveness, creativity and charm than the vast majority of titles on the Switch eShop, and offers a believable game world that's a real pleasure to explore, investigate and – of course – cause merry havoc in. Superb physics, excellent controls, surprisingly robust AI and unique presentation all combine to make this a real highlight in the Switch's library – it's only the brevity of the experience that lets it down, but this really is a case of quality over quantity.
-
Sep 30, 2019Untitled Goose Game surprises, it's fun and make you laugh like few video games. A very original proposal that dazzles from the beginning. Such serious works, but at the same time informal, are increasingly necessary. Because sometimes we take video games too seriously.
-
Sep 27, 2019Untitled Goose Game has its flaws, but the most important thing is that it tries to do something fun and original. Being an annoying goose is much funnier than we thought.
-
Oct 8, 2019If you like silly games mixed with stealth, this charming little indie gem might just be the one for you.
-
Oct 10, 2019Untitled Goose Game presents a simple but effective approach to the puzzle genre that combines a good animation and precise controls for the goose with a satisfactory and witty level system.
-
Sep 20, 2019Untitled Goose Game is a great concept, and ends in the same charming way it started. Pranking people is fun, and doing it as a goose just adds to the thrill. Most people will play it for the silly premise, complete it in a few hours, and go on their merry way without touching it again. If you just want to mess with people as a goose, here’s your chance – but the shallowness and repetition hold it back from being a truly engaging game.
-
Nov 6, 2019A goose may not be the first (or second, or third) choice for a game's main character but a goose who engages in detestable pranks, now that's even more unexpected. That's what Untitled Goose Game does, and does it well. It's surprisingly fun to play heinous little pranks on innocent humans, especially with an exquisite soundtrack in the background. While the game is rather short and doesn't avoid some repetitiveness, Untitled Goose Game is certain to gain a (socially unacceptable) special place in the Nintendo Switch of many players.
-
Oct 9, 2019There was always going to be the worry that Untitled Goose Game would be a case of all hype without the delivery. Fortunately what we got is a unique, charming and often amusing experience that’s only dampened by some frustratingly tough puzzles and occasionally clumsy controls. It’s far from perfect, sure, but it’s certainly a game I’ll remember with a smile on my face. Honk!
-
Sep 26, 2019Untitled Goose Game feels like the start of something great, but just the start. It's certainly worth the asking price for those who plan to play it with friends or record it for viewers, but it's pretty lean as a single-player experience. Still, with this much heart and humor, Untitled Goose Game deserves to succeed and hopefully spawn a more robust sequel.
-
Sep 23, 2019While Untitled Goose Game is a short experience, this also means that it doesn’t outstay its welcome. Additional objectives after you’ve completed the main game increase replayability, even if these objectives could stand to be more challenging. And while its stealth is basic, if you’re content with running around as an arrogant goose and scaring people with your loud honks, then it delivers that in spades.
-
Sep 20, 2019House House's Untitled Goose Game is undoubtedly a hilarious experience, but it lacks a varied toolset to maximize said hilarity.
-
Sep 20, 2019Untitled Goose Game is a delightful experimentation which delivers laugh after laugh, ruining the daily life of poor humans. Unfortunately, the fun stops way too quick after a very few streets corners, leaving the player thinking what this clever but unfinished business might have been.

Sep 20, 2019Slapstick gaming at its silliest, Untitled Goose Game delivers brilliantly on its premise. [Eurogamer Recommended]
-
Sep 20, 2019Untitled Goose Game is inherently funny, but the comedy can be kind of subtle. Really, the entire game is a sandbox for causing mischief. There's no dialogue and minimal story, but the "try anything" sandbox factor means you end up creating your own little punchlines.
-
Sep 20, 2019The game has a knowing charm that benefits from its roughness. Yes, there’s not a lot to do, but that is, in some way, the point. Plenty of other games are burdened by busy work. And yeah, this one’s a little busted and repetitive at times, but it’s also the first game that I can remember that lets me solve problems (or cause them) as a goose. Not an assassin or a spy or a killer. A goose.
-
Sep 20, 2019The village isn’t too big, so it’s a quick, tidy little game you can finish over the course of a weekend. The to-do list populates with a couple more bonus items after the credits roll, and you can pick up the game again to do timed challenges. It’s a timeless, evergreen concept that’ll be fun to play for as long as geese continue to walk this Earth just generally being the worst, so I’m really hoping House House will add more challenges and areas through DLC.
-
Sep 20, 2019Goose Game takes the common video game fantasy of being someone else’s bad day and dresses it up with pastoral allure. I think you could probably cobble together a critique here: All the power fantasy with none of the consequences. But I think the more pertinent read is that Goose Game is an excellent example of how much incredible white space video games have yet to explore.
