Dec 26, 2017Throughout the game's puzzles, the player is free to take an individual approach which helps Uurnog stand out in its mechanics. A game that makes it impossible to have the same experience twice and which allows for a multitude of solutions to each challenge, this is indeed a title to be handled by anyone who enjoys a creative approach and out of the box thinking.

Dec 4, 2017Although the game uses little books as micro-tutorials to help you learn the basics, there is still an aimless quality that could either attract or detract players to its style of game. As a definite throwback to classic games, Uurnog can feel a bit obtuse if the player is not fully enveloped in the gameplay. However, whenever I felt like I didn't know what to do I would just keep on exploring rooms and would find a beacon of direction to work towards, and never felt like I was completely lost. If retracing your steps in the same environments isn't up your alley, I would steer clear of this title. But if you can't get enough of old school exploration, trial and error and classic 2D puzzles, Uurnog Uurnlimited can provide you with an Uurnique experience.

Feb 19, 2018Uurnog is not your typical platforming game. Nor is it a puzzle game, but it makes us jump and advance through stages while we avoid and overcome obstacles in a clever manner. Its peculiar play system, similar to that of Super Mario Bros 2, will make more than one player smile.

Dec 10, 2017Uurnog Uurnlimited is a Nifflas game through and through, but unless you’re a diehard fan of his puzzle design philosophy, this isn’t a game which will win you over.
