Testament The Order of High Human is an experience with ups and downs. The plot never really manages to intrigue but the game world offers several interesting settings and exploration remains pleasant thanks to the fun parkour sections. The combat system is quite simple, yet it does not fail to give magical blows worthy of the name and various ways to make the protagonist more lethal. At the same time, and unfortunately also applies to the bosses, the movements of the enemies turned out to be a bit spartan and unable to match the quality of what has been confirmed as a good visual presentation. If you are looking for an adventure that is not too long, focused on challenging gameplay and made by people with an obvious passion for action RPGs, you will overlook the flaws and enjoy yourself.
Testament: The Order of High Human is definitely an ambitious game. However, being ambitious didn’t serve it well – it’s obvious that the scope of this game was beyond what a small studio like Fairyship Games was capable of, and the result is a mediocre action RPG that fails to impress.
Testament is an ambitious game with perfect graphics and good combat. Maybe the only thing I'd be complainin about is the voice acting that I guess could be done better. Not bc of the voice or accent, just for the matter of "acting".
Overall everything else abt this game is acceptable from an indie dev team. The arrows, the characters design, the music, the story, the puzzles to some extent, and the graphics and the combat as I mentioned earlier.
I mean seriously what more we expect? WP.
This video game is like a vacation by the sea, but in an average resort with modest food – you'll fill up, at times you might feel unwell, but you're by the sea and have some leisure time.
Simply put, Testament: The Order of High Human is a bad game that isn't fun to play and doesn't really offer anything meaningful to its players, who are better left if they simply avoid it.
Every minute I played this game was just a reminder that I still need to play through the updated classic, Metroid Prime Remastered (I’ve just been too busy!). While I simply can’t recommend this game even to the most forgiving fans of the genre it so badly wants to be a part of, if you want to put “metroidvania” and “first-person” together, there really is nothing better than the Metroid Prime series. Go play those instead of this.
If it weren't for the combat system and all the other systems connected to it, Testament could have been interesting. It's a pity that fighting is the core of the experience (it will occupy more than 80% of the gameplay time), so you'll understand that we're not talking about a secondary issue that can be overlooked. However, resources don't seem to be lacking, in the sense that if it were modulated differently, it could have been an excellent independent title. It just needed to aim lower, avoiding getting entangled in trying to imitate models that are simply too advanced for it.
Testament: The Order of High Human answers the question: “What would the phrase ‘quantity over quality’ look like if it were turned into a game?” The result is a tedious, frustrating, and cringe-inducing fantasy adventure RPG that goes on so agonizingly long with its bland and confusing story and god-awful combat that it turns its bad ideas into atrocious ones by sheer volume. Throw in an all-star roster of technical issues, and you’ve got the ultimate “Elder Scrolls, but make it hurt” tour de force that will haunt me for even longer than the dozens of hours it already has.
While I saw a huge amount of negativity against this game right after the release and it was obvious where it is coming from, I decided to give it a chance. as it was in my wishlist from before, I bought it with a discount a day after release and tbh I'm loving it!!! The magics are fine and the bow is handy enough to enjoy the game. The graphics are totally acceptable and I experienced no errors during the game.
The storytelling is another factor that I really liked. Although the voice actings may not been done at its finest since you feel some actors couldnt be able to bring the best out of the characters, the story has a lot to say. I have no idea about those ones who just wanna fight kill run and do all cliche stuff that we're used to doing all the time, but this storytelling with its concept besides it, is the rich embellishment to this game that made it different from many other games I play nowadays!!
Now that I'm writing this, I have to say that I'm totally satisfied with the purchase I had. Morever I'm glad that I supported this indie devs that just started to rise. No matter how deficiencies it has, every products have and "normal people" usually overlook that! I personally didnt expect sth "perfect" from it the moment I startet to play since there are rare indie games which can perfectly satisfy me. but this Testament man is a decent one to try. it has lots of potential and I personally DON'T mean to be one of those who didnt let their voice to be heard!
Overall liked the game. It has the potential to get better however I didnt confront any errors or crashes. Although the experience I had til now was totally smooth I hope the devs update it to fix the lil flops to make sure it's totally perfect
This game may not be perfect, but it's certainly a solid option for fans of first-person games. While there may be some areas where the game could be improved, such as its level design or optimization, overall it offers a good gaming experience.
The graphics in particular are a standout feature of the game, with attention to detail and a visual style that is sure to impress players. The level design, while not flawless, is still enjoyable and engaging.
Overall, this game is worth checking out if you're a fan of first-person games and are looking for a decent gaming experience. While it may not be the best game out there, it's still a good option that offers some enjoyable gameplay and impressive graphics.
Just got this game and technically found it interesting enough to forget the dilemma I had before the purchase. For anyone doubting to buy it or not, if youre looking for a new experience with good graphics, combat, sound and story, I'm playing and enjoying it, and found it digestable enough, especially that it's been done with only 15 ppl. Thumbs up to devs. hope they come back with more projects
