It makes you look at humanity in a different way with each play through, not just the harsh and unforgiving humanity that exists in the zombie apocalypse, but the harsh and unforgiving humanity that exists around us in the world we live in now.
Beautifully written, beautifully acted, beautifully designed. One of the absolutely greatest examples of video game storytelling in the known universe.
Just buy it.
This is a superb game. Emotional rollerocaster like no other.
Perfect blend of a movie and a game, where you live through the adventure with the characters.
Your choices alter the story in way you wouldn't even expect. You feel attached to the protagonist and other characters, really caring about what happens to them.
The writing is extremely well done for the most part, I was finding myself thinking "Now I really would like my character to be able to do X" and almost always this wish was granted a few seconds later, like it was some kind of magic not just a game I was playing. This is of course thanks to very clever writing of Telltale team.
Does it live up to the great first part ? Well, it mostly does. Some characters were less developed and sometimes (episode 5 car night scene for example) the writting seems to drop a notch.
However the choices really felt like they mattered more than in season 1 which is why this is also getting a perfect 10/10.
Highly recommended to everyone, not just zombie lovers !
No going back is the right ending for the second season of The Walking Dead, and it succeeds in delivering a Clementine that's really the player's character.
When describing the 3rd episode of the season, In Harm’s Way, I compared Telltale to a maniac who lives to torture his victims. No Going Back only reinforces this impression.
This is the probably the best episode in season 2 and i don't know how it got 79 score it should be above 90+.I recommend to play this game and you won't regret it!
It's good as always. Dialogues are beautifuly written. Characters feel they are real. But...There is a lot of designed dead ends, agitation and extreme melacholy in this game overall.
Good episode. Very fast paced. Last few minutes were a little average but I guess that is leading onto the next season (which hopefully wont be too long. Twists and turns and Im not ashamed to admit there were tears. Lots of them. My cousin encouraged me to play this and i have no regrets.
