It's time to get creative, because the best version of Disney Infinity has truly arrived. [Issue #17 – September/October 2015, p.70]

It’s unfortunate that the Wii U version’s load times are so poor, because when you can actually play the game, it is a whole lot of fun.

There are many improvements on the original formula, and that's really good news for all the Disney and Star Wars fans out there.

Disney Infinity suffers from some very short-term flaws (that interface, ugh!) and long-term challenges (the price of the game adds up quickly). If you're willing to grapple with those issues, however, you'll find an excellent, expansive, and remarkably well-crafted action game brimming with variety.

As questionable as some of the outside marketing practises are, Disney Infinity 3.0 stands above all its competitors in the toy-gaming genre. What cannot be questioned is that Disney has control over some of the most loved and sought after licenses.

While Disney could have rested on the knowledge that this year's brands would sell themselves, it's good to see that it's taken the game forward in substantial ways.

Thats the price of a good 3ds game here or half a tripple a game and to add three maps is insulting to the consumer I wish I never waisted my money on this and this.
I also hear people defending the game saying the level packs aren't what I should be focusing on but in the wii u version the game lags hard for doing basic things like scrolling though menus to choose a block to place if you want to play a game for its building try minecraft , terraria or even Gmod which are great games that are simple to understand but still put some more complicated stuff in there so you can still have fun like that if you want.
In conclusion Disney infinity is like a confused child that doesn't know what it wants to be so it trys to be everything and fail because it doesn't put any effort into the correct things.

What can I say. There are some improvements over the previous versions, but nonetheless, there are still so many issues.

The new 'skill tree' mechanic for characters is a nice addition, but that's the only good addition.

The frame rate issues still persist, reaching probably 20 frames per second at most, which is awful to look at. The InsideOut playset will crash whenever both players are killed at the same time, requiring a full reset. The other two playsets are very similar (both taking place in Star Wars) and repeat a lot of content from each other. Camera angles and controls are incredibly awkward for the 2nd player. A lot of the challenges were clearly not tested and are impossible to complete - especially as this game is aimed at children.

And that's really the problem - the developers think that kids won't notice these issues, or that they won't care, but it is appalling to release the game in its poor state. It was evidently rushed to meet the Star Wars Episode VII release to grab even more cash. And don't get me started on the fact this is the 3rd edition, which requires an entirely new hefty purchase price just to get started.

Avoid this overpriced plastic at all costs, your kids deserve better.
