    While the missing features are disappointing, I think the GamePad functionality adds a lot to the game. As someone who has bought many versions of the series over the past few years on multiple platforms, I would argue that this is the best one I've played, because the GamePad use adds so much to the formula.

    A strong core soccer sim offering with some neat Wii U Gamepad features make FIFA 13 one to think about this holiday, although you may want to see if the online community grows after the Wii U launch in Europe later this month if you expect to play online.

    FIFA 13 on Nintendo's new hardware is a surprisingly robust experience. Nintendo junkies will be able to fully appreciate the HD visuals and sounds in this game; however, there are a few issues that pop up and the omission of key features from other consoles make it more like FIFA 12.5.

    If you have one of the other console versions, I could not really recommend this over those, especially considering the vastly different price point. A nice effort, but it hits the post on this occasion.

    FIFA 13 Wii U is a porting of FIFA 12 with some new functionality for the gamepad. But has also a lot of deficiencies, particularly on multiplayer. No Ultimate Team, no Football Club and no skill games. If you have a PS3 or a 360, you have to spend your money for them.

    The new innovative controls using the GamePad's touchscreen are more tortuous than convenient. And behind lies the gameplay and mechanics of FIFA 12. The lack of functions and online modes that has been in the competing consoles' versions for years makes this a no-go.

    I consider myself a fan of soccer games, and I know that FIFA 13 for Wii U it's not good enough, even compared to their cousins versions onI consider myself a fan of soccer games, and I know that FIFA 13 for Wii U it's not good enough, even compared to their cousins versions on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Gamepad functionality feels forced, frame rate it's atrocious, Manager Mode is laughable and online multiplayer is dead, literally.

Don't expect a version on par with other consoles like I did. Due to the time limits you pretty much have an updated version of the Wii's watered down FIFA 12.
