As a start of something new, Secret Paths presents a bold step in the future for the newly improved Mysterious Cities of Gold franchise. And maybe, just maybe, you didn't pick a bad time to finally hop in.

The Mysterious Cities of Gold: Secret Paths does not offer a great deal in terms of challenge or variety, but what it does provide comes in a beautiful package that is easy and intuitive to work with. It’s a viable, appealing option for younger and less experience players, and a practical no-brainer for long-time fans of the classic TV show. Those looking for something deeper may feel like they're heading down the wrong path with this title, but it's still worth investigating.

While boasting an overall good presentation and pace of gameplay, The Mysterious Cities of Gold: Secret Paths ends up becoming too repetitive despite its compelling beginning. The puzzles are easy to solve and the overall effort is rather simple, which makes this a light-hearted adventure mostly directed at a younger crowd, especially for the followers of the eponymous animation series.
  4. Dec 10, 2013
The Mysterious Cities of Gold: Secret Paths is a good game that stays faithful to the source material. It's hard to recommend this to anyone other than fans of the show and younger players who may find some challenge in the puzzles contained within the game.
