  1. The puzzle platforming design is very clever while never becoming too frustrating for the player.

Overall Despicable Me has very good ideas which work well, but it is not as polished as we would like.
  3. Relative to the $40 price tag, there isn't a whole lot of game here. This would be a solid buy in the $10–15 range, and an acceptable one at $20.
  4. While its main components aren't bad, the whole thing's repetitive and ends up evening out with about as many flaws as it has positive features.
  5. With better controls and collision detection this would have a pretty decent Wii game – especially considering how little is expected of this sort of licensed offering. As it is, I'd expect only fans of the film or puzzle-game devotees to consider this a worthwhile purchase – and even then, perhaps only after a couple of months when it can be found in the bargain bin.

Unfortunately, all of the goofy personality of this movie tie-in is quickly trampled by irritating level designs and an inconsistent difficulty curve. [Sept 2010, p.90]
