Konami's willingness to put the Wii's controls to good use without making a gimmick-laden game pays off once again - Dewy is great fun, if slightly infuriating for all the right reason. [Dec 2007, p.78]
Finding all one hundred of Dewy's friends, known as the Eaus, on every level is a real challenge, so the replay value is there.

I just can’t imagine how a youngster without all of my adult patience would feel playing this game thinking it’s the one to get while waiting for a Mario title. Make no mistake: this is not Super Mario Galaxy; it’s more like Wii’s Lair.
The poor camera work and awkward controls work against the player, leaving them with a frustrating experience few will have the patience to put up with.
