Living Room jocks and stressed out parents, here is your ticket to weight loss. Toss Wii Fit, use the Jillian Michaels disc as a Frisbee, shove aside all of the pretenders. This is EA's throne now – so go buy a resistance band and start sweating.
  2. EA Sports Active: More Workouts cements the franchise's position as simply the best fitness game on the market today.
  3. Like its predecessor, More Workouts is an interesting addition to your Wii library if you are into the fitness game thing and a complement to the first EA Sports ACTIVE game. There is no doubt that early ACTIVE adopters will jump at the chance to get more ACTIVE but it also packs enough punch to get newcomers on board and at a fairly reasonable price…even though you'll have to buy the leg strap and resistance band separately.

This is the finest example of an exercise game available.
  5. It will absolutely help you become a healthier person, but you need to put in the work. There is no easy way out, and you're not going to lose weight or burn calories if you don't make the effort to actually exercise.
  6. If you have already played the first one, you will also like this new challenge. More activities and tips to subsist in a healthy way are helping the player to keep an eye on his/her body.
  7. It can't engage and enchant groups in the way Wii Fit does, nor does it attempt to. But as I said the first time around, if you are serious about improving your fitness levels and have neither the inclination nor the funds to join a gym, Active is currently the best of its kind
  8. Sports Active is the total package from its delivery, 6-week challenge, and in game exercises. There is simply more to do and its a lot more fun.

Combining workouts and advice from Bob Greene, this program promotes a healthy lifestyle from all angles. If you're already an Active fan, More Workouts is a good option to refresh your routines.

Delivering an effective blend of physical interaction and scalable challenge, More Workouts is an improvement over its predecessor, a vastly superior option to the onrushing crop of perennial celebrity workout DVDs, and easily the most convincing gaming exercise package on the market.
  11. For players who want to work up a sweat in front of their consoles it's one of the best titles available.

But with an attractive price point ($39.99) and a good number of exercises and routines to choose from, More Workouts is a welcome update to the original.
  13. While the game isn't as essential for virtual workout fans as its predecessor, this is still pretty much a must-buy if you enjoy sweating off the Doritos in the comfort of your living room.
  14. This isn't a perfect fitness game by any means, but it's a viable option to get the family off the couch and keep them in at least decent shape until you can go outside again.

You don't get the resistance bands either, so if you don't have the first game you're at a disadvantage. [Feb 2010, p.83]
