Every aspiring game developer should be required to play this game for two hours straight or until they finish it, whichever comes first. This will teach them the importance of level design, physics and tight, responsive controls. I say this because Ice Climber has none of the above. This will teach them the importance of level design, physics and tight, responsive controls. I say this because Ice Climber has none of the above. It is sloppy, repetitive, teeth-grindingly difficult without being fun. Controls are unresponsive; jump physics are almost arbitrary; challenges are frustrating and often unfair. Another lesson every dev can learn from Ice Climber: not every game Nintendo has produced is great, or even good. Expand

While the jump mechanic is off and the game is frustrating on the later levels I can't hate the game, maybe because it was made by Nintendo. Music is pretty good too.
