The follow-up to "Super Mario Strikers" delivers bigger shots, massive hits and the chance to play gamers around the world. Mario Strikers Charged is high-impact, all the time. More captains, more playing fields, more sidekicks: It's crush or be crushed in this wild kickfest. Goal Control: Use the skill the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers provide to win the ball, score unstoppable goals and take control of the goal keeper to perform spectacular saves. Score Big with Mega Strikes: Each captain has his or her own set of skills and super abilities, as well as the ability to perform special shots called Mega Strikes, where the iron ball splits into five balls and flies at the goal. The defending player must use the Wii Remote controller to shoot these balls out of the air to stop a goal. [Nintendo] Expand

A phenomenal addition to the Wii's library and will rival GoldenEye 64 in terms of the exhilarating multiplayer experiences that it offers up. Don't turn your nose up at it just because you don't like soccer or you'll be missing out on one of the best gaming experiences around. Now, bring on Super Smash Bros. Brawl!
  2. Destined to join games like GoldenEye and Super Mario Kart as an incredibly fun multiplayer experience.

There's enough strategy to dig into for the added satisfaction, but underneath it all is a foundation of pure fun. [Oct 2007, p.90]
  4. If you are a fan of Nintendo Sports titles of past years, then get to the present time and pick up a copy of this game, it's worth it.

Despite featuring only a short single player mode Mario Strikers Charged Football is an incredibly entertaining game and comes highly recommended for Wii owners who are starved for games.
  6. Gameplay is frantic, the presentation has been noticeably improved, and there's enough strategy for players to develop a style, which they can then show off online. All in all, it's a notable score for team Mario.
  7. Mario Strikers Charged is enjoyable on a lark, but it’s a tiny baby step just to advance a single feature of the Wii.

Mario Strikers Charged rarely uses the wiimotes sensors, and when it does that is only for "Megastrikes" and I have found the motion sensing for that spot-on. Also for tackling, but you shake the remote to do that, so if you have problems with that, wow. Anyway, I have to say that this game is FANTASTIC! The single player was the biggest challenge I have had in years! When you beat the Strikers Cup, you feel like you are on top of the world. Even after that, there is still the biggest challenge of them all. Being #1 in America. This is actually the most fun I've had with my Wii (TP was a terrific game, but I never died once! That is ridiculous in a Zelda game). So pick up this game, especially if you have online. You will not be disappointed. Expand

If you expect a soccer game you will actually be disappointed. But it's very fun, addictive, and pretty challenging as well. The main drawback is the main single player game is not very varied, you get to play 3 cups of increasing difficulties (the last boss is a tough one!), and you have a set of challenges on the side, but that's about it. I didn't get to play multiplayer but I can imagine how crazy it might get... Expand

I don't like sports. At all. But I really enjoy this game. It's less soccer and more action. I get lost on the screen sometimes. I don't like sports. At all. But I really enjoy this game. It clearly improves on its predecessor in all areas of the park and even adds a few new ideas into the mix. Whilst understandably lacking any depth in single player mode, it truly shines as a multiplayer party game for you and your mates. Well worth your consideration. Expand
