Solid yet short-lived racer that's fun at parties. Fans of the genre should pick this one up.

The races are all linked by a surprisingly solid narrative. [Christmas 2011, p.76]
  3. Great fun, but too short and challenge mode is too generic to make up for it.

Need for Speed: The Run is a classic arcade racer, with some nice graphics and a decent gameplay. The single player campaign can be beaten in only a couple of hours and there's no online multiplayer, so the whole experience could be very short and insubstantial.

It's a lousy driving game, frustrating and with too many QTE, utterly spoiling the overall experience.

Need For Speed: The Run on Wii is a weak, tedious, disorganized and frustrating experience. You must be a die-hard fan to play it.

The reason I rate a 6 not because it's bad, but because to try to be honest. Of course this game has a little bad graphics and it has a very short story mode in the game. Whats good about this game is the story and the action. I don't really loved the game 100% but I like it. I suggest that you should buy and play this game for friends because the multiplayer mode in this game has a maximum of 4 players. Expand

Even if it did, its successes would be smothered by a procession of awful technical flaws. Lacking charm and polish, only the Need For Speed name will sell the game – which will no doubt mean that it fares well enough. But in a year that has seen gaming's biggest franchises one-upping each
other and demanding players' attention like never before, The Run simply doesn't cut it. Expand
