    Paid or free, as map packs go, Back to Karkand is hard to fault. The maps themselves are excellent, tried and trusted classics that (Wake Island's diminished scope aside) have been thoughtfully reconstructed for modern FPS play.

    Back To Karkand is a great DLC. The four maps are true classics from a glorious past, now even more awesome than ever thanks to the Frostbyte 2 engine. The new objective system is really nice and grants a brand new experience to the original game.

    The return of Battlefield 2's Conquest Assault mode doesn't bring a ton to the table, either: giving one side possession of all control points right at the outset is an interesting wrinkle, but it hardly reinvents the experience. On the other hand, when those four classic maps are this much fun to storm around in, who says anything needs to be brand-spanking-new?

    If you are a big Battlefield 3 player it is a no brainer to purchase this DLC, even if it is purely just to have no restrictions when finding a server to play on.

    Four great maps and a bunch of tweaked weapons and vehicles, all for the annoying price of about NZ $30. Casual fans might want to wait until this thing sees a price drop, but if you're heavily invested in your Battlefield 3 multiplayer then you'll get a lot out of these new maps.

    An odd mixture of the classic and the inessential, but there's no arguing over the quality of at least three of the maps in this relatively content rich download.

    The Karkand map is worth the 1200 MS Points this DLC costs by itself. I do prefer the Battlefield 2 MC version of this simply because of theThe Karkand map is worth the 1200 MS Points this DLC costs by itself. I do prefer the Battlefield 2 MC version of this simply because of the larger map, but with a 12 v 12 situation this version for the consoles is still great and makes sense since the consoles can't handle the large-scale . The other three maps included are great maps too, but Karkand is timeless. We probably won't really NEED more maps with this expansion for BF3, but I'd certainly welcome a few more quality maps into the rotation.… Expand

    Very good DLC. Everything has worked perfectly for me. No lag issues have appeared at all.

    -Assignments are a welcome addition. Adds more "carrots at the end of a stick" to keep you pushing to unlock more things
    -Great value for the price (especially if you preordered the game and got the DLC for free)
    Cons: -Conquest Assault game mode seems a little unbalanced/unfair (attacking team begins losing tickets at the beginning of the game while defenders do not)
    - A few "stages" on RUSH are favored heavily toward the defenders    … Expand
