Darkfall Adventures is a middle-of-the-road Lost World adventure, where our wisecracking Indiana Jones-like hero spends more time saving and re-saving the girl than recovering a purportedly priceless and powerful treasure that ultimately doesn’t come off as all that pricey or powerful in the end.

We find a bunch of good ideas crashing among them. It's hard to recommend this game, but we really hope they find the way to make it work in a possible sequel.

I certainly appreciate what Deadfall Adventures was going for and I'm always open to adventuring on a less-than-AAA scale, but the over-reliance on shooting and the abysmal voice acting knock this afternoon-matinee romp down a few pegs.

This is absolutely no competition for Uncharted. The fights are boring and bugs ruin the remaining fun. Which is a pity, because the vistas and solid puzzles give a glimpse of what this game could have been.

A missed chance in what could have been a cross between Indiana Jones and Uncharted in a first person shooter environment.

The cinematic videogame thriller depends on budget and craft. Remove these ingredients and the thinness of the underlying design is shown up. The Farm 51 has neither the money nor the talent to compete on this well-furrowed ground. Deadfall Adventures is a poor man’s imitation, a thoroughly bad videogame and one which, most frustratingly, is bad in uninteresting ways.

You can move in climates Indiana Jones, Mumia and other games I've ever played. There is no monotony in the game and it is great.
This game has a cool script, as in the action adventure and I'm an actor. It's good draws in the game.

The environments are fantastic and when coupled with a great soundtrack they create a brilliant atmosphere. Love the minimal HUD UI and all the puzzles are good fun. Yeah its not perfect - the lead voice artist is just bad, the story and dialogue are poorly executed and the cut scene character animation could be a lot better - but there are no massive game breaking glitches and above all the whole thing is really enjoyable. Everything works as it should and the game is solid. If you like films like Indiana Jones and The Mummy series buy this during a sale (as I did) and you will not be disappointed. Expand

Yes, this game is a tad old school, leading you down a very linear path with little deviation and further, the graphics are not up to matching the current crop of big budget triple A games... And let's skip the awful character models in cut scenes, however, this game is a blast to play. Strong shooting mechanics, some clever puzzles and some awesome environment designs lead to a fun 'Indiana Jones-esque' adventure that has me hooked! At the very least, this is a good rental title! Admitedly not for everyone, but if you like tombs, traps, puzzles and the supernatural, don't miss out! Expand

You're kind of an Indiana Jones type character, who's looking for treasure, and so you have to explore ancient ruins -- but they're filled with Nazis, and killer mummies that you have to fight off with your gun, and machete.

    Sounds cool, right?

Well, there are some problems with the game. The voice acting is pretty stiff. There isn't much to the story. The level designs can often feel narrow, uninspired, and they leave you feeling trapped. The baddies just swarm you, and your sidekick is no help whatsoever.

But there are some bright spots to the game. They have a strong puzzle element going on, and there are some interesting concepts for the character, like making use of a compass, a notepad to give you clues, and a flashlight.

Other than that however there is nothing that really makes this game stand out. I think it's worth a try though.
