As far as I am concerned, Full House Poker is the jewel in Microsoft's House Party crown. Full of style, wit and excitement it isn't just the best console poker game, but the best virtual poker game ever.

If you've been looking for something to fill the void that 1 vs. 100 left behind and you're into Texas Hold 'Em, even on a casual level, Full House Poker is a must buy. Fun card-playing action, plenty of game modes, customizable features, and a chance to give your lonely Xbox Avatar someone to play with make it hard to pass up.

Many gamers will give this title a pass simply because they aren't comfortable with their own knowledge of the game of poker. But Full House Poker is here to help...there are a lot of tutorials and help available in game and with a click of the left button you can instantly see what type of hand beats what.

Of course, if you are interested in poker this game will certainly interest you, but for those of you like myself who have hardly played poker and don't understand the rules, I can assure you this is a whole lot of fun!

Full House Poker isn't your typical online poker game, where you play for tons of money, it's merely that sort of game poker fans who have no interest in playing professionally wish for.
  6. Mar 17, 2011
There's something for everyone here, and despite a few blemishes, it's one of the better games in town.

You had us at 'dog mask'. [June 2011, p.81]

As a multiplayer game, this is sure to bring some friends together for some online poker who might not otherwise be able to play together, and at that point the pacing of the game isn't really that important. As a single player game, if you can put aside the duration of the tournaments and look at the AI that the game has in the form of the Pros, then this game really succeeds in my opinion.

FHP is a really well-crafted game. It may be lacking in the AI and camera departements, but poker fans with a Gold Xbox Live account will love it for many months to come.

Bringing online poker to everyone is not an easy task, but Full House Poker achieves it, and it is a recommended game both for casual players who want to try Texas Hold'Em, and also for seasoned poker players, who will get engaged by its levelling system and online play.

Full House Poker is almost perfect for fans of the genre.

The season-based nature of the Texas Heat events give you a reason to stick with it over time.

If "all in!" is your motto, here you'll find interesting techniques, loads of unlockables for your avatar, and lot of fun, both online or against the good AI.
  14. Mar 20, 2011
Despite the limitation set by only having one poker mode, Full House Poker is fun to play alone or with others online.
  15. Mar 17, 2011
A good game, although the online action is certainly more enjoyable than the single-player game.
  16. Mar 16, 2011
It's easily one of the more polished poker games that I've played on any platform, but there's plenty of free poker games on the PC that can offer the same thrill.
  17. Mar 14, 2011
Full House Poker is a surprisingly solid and enjoyable poker game. Loads of options, several play modes including solo and multi support, and the Texas Heat events make it quite an attractive package for 800 MP.

Full House Poker is well worth the time or in this case the past time. Full House Poker is a fun game for its single player mode or its multiplayer mode and beautiful whimsical graphics and use of our avatars.
  19. Mar 14, 2011
Full House Poker is easy to learn, easy to get into, but challenging and increasingly rewarding so I'm pretty sure you'll be seeing me hitting the tables once the game releases on March 16th.
  20. Mar 21, 2011
Fun card-playing action, plenty of game modes, customizable features... Full House Poker is fun to play, especially online.

But for now, you're buying what feels like an early beta test. [June 2011, p.77]
  22. Mar 26, 2011
Full House Poker is a full-featured Texas Hold 'Em simulator full of personality and depth.
  23. Mar 14, 2011
Great online options and an innovative experience system make this poker game difficult to put down.
  24. Apr 6, 2011
Although gambling isn't as thrilling as it would be with real money on the table, Full House Poker proves to be a well crafted game that will surely keep poker fans busy for several hours.

As it stands, the interface is slick, the presentation is pleasantly simplified and chunky, and the unlocks will keep rewards flowing for a long time. It's one of the best poker games we've ever played - but until prizes are added into the mix it doesn't stop the whole concept of risk-free poker from feeling fundamentally pointless.

A bit boring to play online. [Issue#71, p.101]
  27. Apr 3, 2011
A truly confounding experience. For all of the initial thrills its presentation brings and all that it does right with the XP system and game modes, the ways in which it misses the mark are hard to ignore.

It is hard to find a real poker game because of the all-inners. However, if you like the soap opera drama....there is plenty with the on-line chat. Texas heat is full of glitches and the majority of the time you end up playing the bots. Don't waste your money. Full Review »
