Suffers from a variety of problems that will mean even racing fanatics and aficionados of the depicted sport itself will struggle to enjoy it. [Issue#57, p.97]
  2. Official Xbox Magazine UK
That ambition is hamstrung by a development budget that would struggle to cover a six-pack of crisps and an engine that is best at simulating the mid-point of cataract formulation. [Apr 2010, p.109]
  3. Xbox World 360 Magazine UK
It loves the sport, but this is a cheap racing game, besieged by big, game-ruining problems. [May 2010, p.80]

This game is underrated: the historical immersion of it it's unpaired, specially with the year-by-year reconstitution of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the scenarios, reconstituting how that era was. The gameplay is very good, specially because they managed to include both the roadsters and rear engined cars from that time (specially with the understeer those cars naturally had, specially for ovals). The career mode is actually pretty realistic, since it wasn't uncommon driver owners at the time.

I can understand complaints about the IA being too easy, but it has most to do with which car you're using and race distance: tire degradation and fuel consumption makes the longer races more challenging. This is game is a must if you're a racing fan or appreciates a career mode. For the limitations the studio had without a big budget publisher, this game is actually pretty good.

Ok, we meet much racing titles, Forza, Gran Turismo, PGR, DiRT, Need For Speed, GRID, TOCA, Daytona USA, some are excellent or good, other don't have the same good luck, and this game of Indianapolis have terrible luck. The gameplay have some problems, the cars in some moments looks horrible, the tracks are repetitive and awful, the sound of the cars are strange, the graphics are a completely disaster, the multiplayer suppouse that don a better game but no, is the same boring game, and your friends or family wanna play other thing. Is interesting watch that is a sequel with 0 better things. Indianapolis 500 Evolution is not an evolution, is a deception. Expand
