On a platform that's actually been criticized for having too many shooters, it's tough to recommend a shooter so mediocre as Infernal: Hell's Vengeance.
Some promising ideas, but little to no delivery on any of them. [Issue#49, p.90]
It's incredibly dated, lacking features we expected in console games a generation ago, and almost devoid of any truly original ideas. In this battle between Heaven and Hell no one is victorious.
Overly linear levels, repetitive fights, and a distinct lack of polish. [Oct 2009, p.75]
Why PlayLogic has released this game is a question for us. Infernal: Hell's Vengeance looks ugly, sound poor and the gameplay doesn't vary much, it even frustrates sometimes. Once completed, you can put this game in a dark corner, where it belongs.
We could go on and on listing the problems with Infernal: Hell’s Vengeance, but like the game, we were bored from the very beginning of having to write this.
