  1. Simple, easy-to-use controls are marred only by the game’s sometimes atrocious handling of the camera.

Perhaps the best compliment that one can pay to LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga is that it feels like you're playing with a living LEGO playset.
  3. With a solid action core, innovative puzzles, teamwork concepts, and the clever integration of the endearing LEGO franchise, this would be a great game even without the Star Wars license.

If you're new to the series, this collection is a terrific way to get into it all in one huge, time-sucking package. [oliday 2007, p.82]

A fantastic game that deserves to be played by everyone. It is easily accessible, truly addictive, and loaded with tons of content to warrant the $50 price tag. However, if you have already played through the first two games there is little here worth coming back for unless online co-op and more Achievement points are your thing.
  6. Overall a well put together homage to Starwars told through the medium of Lego. Ranging from funny to frustrating it will keep you coming back for more.
  7. The experience is a good length, without even engaging the replays, and its feel-good manner and attention to its source material is unmatched for a licensed game.
  8. Being able to build your own Star Wars creations from other character parts is a hoot. Bottom line, Saga is excellent closure to the Lego Star Wars series.
  9. If you don't already have the previous games, then this is essential.

So aside from the camera controls, not-so-snappy studs and some problems with pacing in a handful of places, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga is a solid game, and one of the rare titles on Xbox 360 and PS3 that the family can safely sit down together to play.
  11. A kiddy game at heart, that's now packing more bang for your buck.
  12. These titles are true classics from the last generation. They have been skillfully upgraded by the folks at TT Games to give us the definitive edition.
  13. Complete Saga will charm the socks off Star Wars fanatics and platforming fanboys alike.

Additional features, from on and offline co-op to the new playable characters and revamped classic levels give it a wide appeal, meaning every type of gamer should at least give it a go.

Don't expect complex gameplay or much in the way of new gameplay features, but the formula works brilliantly and provides plenty of fun, whether you're revisiting the games or discovering them for the first time.
  16. Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga achieves everything it sets out to do. Here, we have a fun, well-constructed title that gamers of all ages will enjoy.

LSW has a certain charm about it that one cannot help but recognise, great for family and friends alike.
  18. Good sense of humor combined with valuable package and fun family time.
  19. Despite all of these cool minor additions, the core gameplay feels mostly like one big retread. With all of the great new games coming out this holiday, it’s hard to justify replaying this series. For diehard fans, however, this is the definitive LEGO Star Wars game.
  20. Even if the new bells and whistles aren't enough to bring back established fans, this is still Lego Star Wars at its finest.

While the flying levels are frustrating and the change-characters-to-hit-this-switch mechanic gets old, the great humor and extras make Lego Star Wars worth playing if you haven't tried it yet.
  22. 75
If you don’t have Lego Star Wars or Lego Star Wars II and you’re in the market for a cute, family-friendly affair that can be enjoyed by young and old, then Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga is worth every penny. However, if you already own either game, you’re not going to find much here to justify the price.
  23. Between all the unlockable and hidden items in the game, replay is almost required. Despite some issues with the camera and odd occasional lag over Live, you will do so happily.

Best played in short bursts but it's still unbelievably repetitive and, at times, monotonous. But it can also be fun and you get two games in one. [Issue 26, p.90]
