We had to wait many years for a decent motocross game and, finally, the wait is over.

Every motocross fan will find an excellent experience in MXGP, with highly satisfying physics simulation, bike handling and tuning. It would have benefited of more care in the off-track environments design and better engine sounds, but it’s still a must buy for the genre’s lovers.

MXGP is a satisfactory compromise between arcade and plausibility. A very good motocross game that relies entirely on the handling. Ride it in a trance, a jump after another, searching for the best lap time.

This game could've been great. Unfortunately, this title by Milestone stumbles in the usual technical problems, headed by a system of collisions due to frequent phenomena of interpenetration polygonal and constant texture pop-ups on the track.

The physics engine, as always, is the main attraction - it's just a shame that Milestone didn't apply a little more drive and ambition.

MXGP’s realism might be valuable for motocross connoisseurs, but will deter anyone who just wants to have some fun in the dirt. [02/2015, p.55]

The game play and the way the bikes work is great. The career mode is good but could use more detail to make the game longer. All the objects on the side of the track such as hay bails to mark the out of bounds. They need to move so people can hit them and not wreck immediately. It would still mess their rhythm up but they need to be able to move. Also they should give more free play in the whips and scrubs so they aren't altered by the game. Expand

Critic reviews can sometimes be helpful but talking to others I do not feel they are a review of the ordinary on line racer. So I write thisCritic reviews can sometimes be helpful but talking to others I do not feel they are a review of the ordinary on line racer. So I write this as down to earth and as someone who just wants a really good race. I love this games if I want a straight down to earth race you can set the race up as you wish to race and always find others will join your race or you can just join other games that are online. If I have one criticsim it would be that there is not enough help in bike set up. I go round without coming off and am still way of the best times. I'd love to see someone put some advice online but there is little at the moment. Graphics I think are fine I'm not even sure you take much notice of these once you are in a good race which is what you really want. I would really recommend this game to others. Expand
