The trip to Vietnam leaves us with mixed feelings. On the one hand, the add-on keeps the high standard of the main game, but on the other hand, there are not many new things. Despite the few vehicles and minor changes in the weapon section, there isn't much new to discover.
  2. Deathmatch in pure, concentrated form.

Quake Arena Arcade is filled with a gaming walk down memory lane but more on the bloody gibbs side.

Quake Arcade Arena is fun and fast, just like fans will want, but I'm not sure they got the message about its release.

Quake Arena Arcade is probably one of the best console porting of the unforgettable id Software's Quake 3 Arena. Good graphics, cool FX and frenetic gameplay: unfortunately, the netcode doesn't work as it should, bringing tons of lag and unexpected disconnections. A huge pity, for a so multiplayer-oriented FPS.

Quake Arena Arcade is Quake III: Arena again, except this time around there is no-one to play against. If you've already played Quake to death, there is no need to pick this edition up, even for the exclusive maps. The lack of players online is a clear sign that Quake fans would really like something new for a change.

It shouldn't be a gamble for online multiplayer to work though. In the end, Quake Arena Arcade rings its own death knell and doesn't give Quake III Arena the justice it deserves.

This game has several modes and maps from the Team Arena expansion, and a few new exclusive maps. This is the exact same Quake 3 Arena you grew up with, but on consoles. Unfortunately there is a few latency issues since there are no dedicated servers. The developers didn't see fit to patch the game or support the community by adding new maps. Also don't be surprised if you can't find any servers, people rarely play. If you'd like to join the community visit the Xbox Quake Arena Arcade forums, add me (JohnnyK98) and lets get our frag on! Slightly-improved graphics and faster gameplay round out this update. However, compared to other online shooters this game hasn't aged well and can feel a little clunky at times (especially considering that the "aim down sights" button in other games is the "jump" button in this game). And of course, being as this is an multiplayer game, the single-player "campaign" feels tacked-on, merely serving as a warm-up for playing against human players. Despite this, there's no denying the nostalgia and charm Quake Arena Arcade gives. Expand

A garbage version of Quake III Arena. If you play THIS Quake (along with Quake 4), please, don't think that all QUAKEs are like that. ThisA garbage version of Quake III Arena. If you play THIS Quake (along with Quake 4), please, don't think that all QUAKEs are like that. This game is not open (well... sure, that's for consoles), the multiplayer is not so bad but also not so good, the maps are limited, and there are missing a lot of things. Also, how can you STRAFE, especially when you AIM and SHOOT? Not recommended. Buy a computer and play the original Quake III Arena. Expand
