  1. A casual game for casual gamers, meant to be fun, fast and simple. Its flaws are significant and could limit it for some, but the design, quality and variety of questions, and carefully toned pace make it fun for most players and worth getting if you often have parties with non-gamers, casual gamers or film fiends.
  2. As a game for all the family and friends it works really well.
  3. Games Master UK
A decent "Buzz!"-rival for the Xbox 360, but don't expect any thrills or frills. [Christmas 2007, p.83]

Is it worth the 60 dollar entry fee? Given that a regular game of Scene It? is going to run you 40 bucks from a retail store, I’d say, yes. You get hundreds more questions, four controllers (even if they have ripped off Buzz’s design), and the real kicker is that the Xbox 360 varies the 1,800 questions much better than a standard DVD player.
  5. Single player is slowed down by an obnoxious and unnecessary presentation. But given how well the game works with friends, the sheer variety of trivia, and the brisk pace of the game, we don't feel out of line saying that Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action could be the best and most definitive version out there.
  6. The game is a great edition of the popular board game, while the lack of online play and gameplay features don’t quite let it shine among other Xbox 360 games.
  7. Surprisingly addictive movie trivia quiz.
  8. For drinking fun with people who are in their twenties and know who Parker Posey is, pick Scene It. For family fun with people who are either too young or too old to drive and think Truffaut is a special kind of Ferrero Rocher, pick Buzz! Hollywood.
  9. OK we admit, Scene It? Lights Camera Action isn't the car wreck of a title that we thought it would be, but it has more to prove if it's going to challenge its stylish rival on PlayStation. Hopefully this debut instalment will be quickly followed with a regular stream of downloadable content over Xbox Live, ensuring that the often-repeated 'non-repeatable' questions don't get too stale.

Your love for trivia games will heavily determine whether you want to pick up this package or not, as there's a great deal here for movie fans but probably not a lot for others.
  11. Don't expect this game to knock your socks off. However, it is the best Scene It? released to date for any platform, and it will easily replace the DVD versions you might own.
  12. VideoGamer
If you're after a simple game that a large group of non-gamers can play together, Scene it? will do the job very well. With the promise of downloadable content, the game should live on well beyond the initial 1800 questions and the lack of wires on the big button controllers is great for a party environment.

A respectable debut for the series on the Xbox 360, the buzzers are wireless, it's a shame about the number of questions but Scene It? is definitely a game that will get the casual gamer involved this Christmas.
  14. It has a nice mix of shiny and dusty, making it relevant for players of all ages, and with 21 different puzzles there's some depth to dive.

The biggest draw here is the inclusion of many movie clips and sound bites. It’s pretty cool sitting back and watching a clip, and then pretty frantic as you realize you should have been paying more attention when the questions continually stump you. Oh, and if you aren’t much of a movie buff, you may as well stop reading now.
  16. A blast, especially with the right crowd.
  17. A good import of a mediocre board game, Lights, Camera, Action! is worth a look for fans of the original game or others who are looking for a new game night experience.

In a decent little package, Microsoft has managed to gather a nice little bundle that will no doubt be the beginning of a series of “Scene It’s.”

The best part about Scene It is that you can get a bunch of achievement points! Sure, you may not know exactly why you're getting them every time, but if you can pad your GamerScore by 110 achievement points in under an hour, who cares if you understand how you get them!
  20. games(TM)
Though the pace of the game is appreciated, it would have been nice to see more than a simple sequence of questions with little in between. [Chrismas 2007, p.133]
  21. X-ONE Magazine UK
This is easily the most accessible title in the 360's library, and anyone with even the slightest interest in the movie world will find themselves hooked. [Issue 27, p.93]
  22. All in all, you cannot go wrong with a quality title like this that brings gamers and non-gamers together in a battle of trivia knowledge.
  23. This game is meant to be played with three other people. With two or on your own, it is a boring affair. With 1800 different questions and a bunch of moviescenes, you can definitely have fun for a few nights, especially if you and your friends are movie-lovers. If you're not that much at home with the cinema, this game isn't meant for you.

Few trivia games have ever gone to the lengths this game does to keep things fresh, and the fact that it comes with 4 controllers means that everyone can play, right away. The fact that downloadable content is on the way is a big plus... this game could easily last for years. Full Review »

Tons of fun for anyone that is a teenager on up (it is a bit tough for younger kids because they will not know most of the movies). This is better than any prior version of Scene It because the 360's hard drive eliminates duplicate questions. If you like movies, this is a great game to play with your friends and family! However, it is so much fun that we will probably play through all the questions in not too long, so I really hope that they issue some downloadable extra content through X-Box Live! (You hear that Microsoft-- I will be willing to buy a download for this game, so get to work!) Full Review »

Good game if not a bit tedious waiting for the next set of questions.
