  1. With the complete Phantasy Star collection, six Sonic the Hedgehog titles and a bunch of Streets of Rage titles, this Sega compilation is one of the most comprehensive yet. You would be a fool to pass up this $30 compilation disc!
  2. Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection for the Xbox 360 features close to 50 games and while not all of them are hits, this collection will not fail to keep you busy … deliciously busy.
  3. Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection is easily the most value that has been offered on one disc since The Orange Box back in the fall of 2007, so this is a no-brainer if you have any interest at all in playing a good number of these games.
  4. Either way though, this is a most welcomed remembrance package from SEGA and as always supporting their fans well, now all we need is some more license agreements for releasing all of those other legendary gaming accomplishments.
  5. It's better value than the Virtual Console, but it's still a lazy effort.

My only complaint is that Sonic 3 and knuckles cannot be combined. But hey... I can live with that!

If you don't like one game in the collection,This game is truly the greatest deal in the world and the best video game collection up to date. If you don't like one game in the collection, there's 48 other games in this collection to choose from from Streets of Rage to Sonic the Hedgehog to Shinobi III to Phantasy Star IV to Ecco the Dolphin. You can save mid-game whenever you want and pick up where you left off. At its current $20 price, that would be about .50 for each of these classic works of art. The only bad game in here is Sonic Spinball. Expand

On this release, youThis collection of 48 Sega classics is a must have for Genesis fans. It's an HD compilation that contains a nice variety. On this release, you have seven Sonic games, the Streets of Rage trilogy, three Golden Axe entries, Phantasy Star I - IV and the Vectorman titles. Other gems include Shinobi III, Comix Zone, Columns, Ristar, the Ecco installments and Altered Beast. Unlockables include ports of arcade and Master System games, interviews, artwork and trivia. Unfortunately, a few great titles didn't make the cut such as The Revenge of Shinobi, Gunstar Heroes and Toe Jam and Earl. But despite the omissions, this is a great package for fans of Sega's heyday. Overall, I would rate this with an 8.3 out of 10. Expand
