As I say in all my reviews of every episode of The Walking Dead I play, if you're a fan of a good narrative and character interactions, you need to play this series. Fans of the comic and television show should not hesitate to pick this game up.
This playable tale once again dares to discuss the more substantial implications of the survival-horror scenario, a setting that was once mostly defined by scarcity of ammunition. I'd lie if I professed that The Walking Dead had anything to do with "fun" in the traditional sense, but here for once, it's a glowing compliment. I'm not looking forward to accompany these Walking Dead on their last steps to the conclusion. But I wouldn't want to miss it for anything in the world.
Episode 4 is fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed playing through this episode and couldn't wait to play episode 5. If you liked the other 3 episodes, this one is no different... in fact, having played through to the end, I would say it is as engaging as any of them.
mind u i like this one its get far more existing each corner u dont know what happening then when it happen u least suspect it went diffrent route which mind blowing it open
Any detachment we may have felt as we slowly immersed ourselves into this hellish world should be lost here. Those who've hungered for each coming episode may experience some tunnel vision as they dive into their monitors and become a part of the group's lives.
Whilst Around Every Corner relies a bit too much on action sequences and not enough of group-building with its new characters, it effectively manages to draw hope and desperation to new emotional highs and lows, ultimately ending with the most dramatic conclusion so far.
Love this game! nothing more to say. its the best game i ever played. episode 4 is the best episode then 2 then 3 and then 1 but all the episodes are really awesome! BEST GAME EVER !!!!!!!!!
To be honest I watched this on youtube as if it was a movie. Got luck enough to find a great walkthrough by this DanQ8000 guy. And I gotta say it was an A+ game, rock solid from top to the bottom of it. A more intense experience than the last episode, and the end leaves you satisfied but hooked for the next episode. Man, they know how to do cliffhangers. Can't stand the thought how long we will have to wait for the next part.
With the illusion of choice broken you find the story compelling enough to continue. The choices in this game do have an emotional change of direction in that they affect your immediate relationship with the other characters but even then you can sense that no matter what you do, certain things are going to happen.
After completely dropping the ball in Episode 3, Episode 4 does just enough to compel you to continue playing. However, the let-downs continue. Decisions are still utterly meaningless, and will not affect the outcome of anything no matter what you choose to do. Introduction of new and interesting characters keeps things fresh. However, the illusion of choice and meaningful decisions is even more apparent. I won't get too much into detail here, but think of Episode 4, and every other episode, to simply be a interactive movie. It is not a game, but just a film in which you can press a few buttons to get to the next scene. That is all.
I hope you enjoy having your saves rendered unplayable because that's what this game is all about. Your hard earned progress is likely to be wiped by a faulty save system when you try to resume playing. And guess what? YOU CAN'T SKIP DIALOGUE OR CUTSCENES. Unbearable. Such a great game but so terribly implemented.
