Dec 7, 2011Overall, your enjoyment of this game is likely to come down to your love of Voltron. If you're a fan of twin-stick shooters, this is worth taking out for a spin. For Lion Force fans, though, there is no reason not to jump on this.
-
Dec 12, 2011While there's definitely some fun to be had in the game, it's heavily tempered by frustration and boredom caused by the camera distance and the yawnfest that is the Voltron levels. Also, given how big a show Voltron was, twelve levels in three 'epsiodes' for 800 Microsoft Points ($10) seems a bit lacking.
-
Jan 31, 2012Voltron: Defender of the Universe lacks anything beyond the main campaign, save an arena mode DLC available for an additional 240 MSP that really should have been included in the main game. It is also too short.
-
Jan 4, 2012It seem as if the game tries to achieve the nostalgic effect in those players who remember animated series of the eighties and seventies, but it fails when trying to adapt it to current times. Although the graphics don't shine, the main problem is its repetitive gameplay, with uninspiring combat.
-
Dec 7, 2011What should be a joyful revival is dragged down by low-res textures, repetitive missions, punchless attacks, and an overall lack of excitement.
-
Dec 12, 2011To say that Voltron: Defender of the Universe is a disappointment is an understatement. What should be blistering action is yawn-inducing and seems more like a chore used to get to the mech sequences, which only serve to disappoint MORE by the sheer mediocrity of them. I'd rather watch the series on Netflix.
-
Dec 12, 2011You'd be better off just going back and watching the animé instead.
