Apr 1, 2016It might lack FIFA an PES features and simulation, but Active Soccer 2 DX balances it out with an highly entertaining arcade soccer experience, something Sensible Soccer and Kick Off nostalgics will love.
-
Jun 2, 2016Active Soccer 2 DX plays a simpler game of football than its modern peers, making it less entertaining for solo players, but I think the opposite could be said for when you want a quick match with pals – especially when there are lots of them.
-
Apr 7, 2016Active Soccer 2 DX homages to the soccer classics of the nineties with its enjoyable and fast gameplay but it's also a little too simple and rough to be compared with its predecessors.
-
Apr 7, 2016Fun, fast and unpretentious but too close to the mobile version of the game... And without any official licenses.
-
Apr 1, 2016It’s a fun alternative to the po-faced AAA football games, but never comes close to the quality and sometimes humorous approach of its inspiration, Sensible World of Soccer. However, until the Xbox 360 Arcade version of SWOS is available on Xbox One via backwards compatibility, Active Soccer 2 DX provides a surprisingly fun, if buggy, footballing distraction.
-
Apr 3, 2016Active Soccer 2 DX tries to bring back the fun experience of a football video game like the Sensible Soccer games rather than the realistic aspects like FIFA and PES but, unfortunately, it has some issues at the moment, such as the clumsy menus, the glitched player animations, and the buggy football rules system that seems to have a random situation.
-
Mar 30, 2016Active Soccer 2 DX is an over-priced, under-produced disappointment. If you're looking for a quality soccer game on the cheap, then buy last year's FIFA.
-
Mar 29, 2016Active Soccer 2 DX has its moments as it tries to recreate football games of old. However, even if it did that perfectly, that's all it would be doing since there's no attempt at innovation or anything that would push the genre forward. It's more or less a carbon copy of Sensible World of Soccer that doesn't play as well, has no online features whatsoever, has a wretched frontend and which features a comparatively large amount of bugs and oversights.
