At £11.99/$14.99, I would say that you would be a fool to pass by the chance to take part in the worlds cutest riot. The game offers up a challenge that steadily gets tougher the further that you progress. The addictive nature, coupled with fluid gameplay and controls make Anarcute a pleasure to play.

Anarcute is a fun little game in which you try to free the world from brain washing enemies. The game is surprisingly strategic, and the replayability is nice as well. Anarcute tends to feel a bit repetitive during longer play sessions though.

Creative achievements (that are rife with spelling errors) and a grading system offers some replayability. However, once you collect all the achievements and earn perfect grades for every level, this isn’t much to do afterwards. It’s a fairly short game with no multiplayer option, so when it’s over, there is precious little to keep you coming back.

    Quotation forthcoming.

Fun but short reinvention of the Pikmin formula that manages to entertain but is not able to last enough for its price.

The developers have taken a very dark subject matter and turned it into one of the most adorable games I have ever played.

On the whole, those who manage to gel with Anarcute’s unique gameplay despite its haphazard combat and repetitive nature will find a reasonably enjoyable game to work through. For many though, I’d wager there’s a real risk that frustration and boredom may hamper the experience.
