Apex Legends is without a doubt a fantastic game. It may be lacking a solo or duo option, and it may have a few very niggling issues, but all-in-all it’s a fantastic addition to the Battle Royale genre.

Apex Legends can be the definitive BR experience. Right now is a bunch of great ideas assembled, that is renewing the genre even without changing much.

Apex Legends is a mix of smart shooter ideas that makes for a competitive, team-based game that gets at all the best parts of battle royale while addressing a lot of the weaknesses. Respawn's intense focus on team play makes Apex more than just a worthy addition to the genre; it's an indicator of where battle royale should go in the future.

Taken as a finished product, Apex Legends feels like the Battle Royale craze growing up. The possibility of new modes and options to be added is an enticing prospect, but what is here is well worth the asking price. That asking price, of course, is free – and Respawn should be commended for its risky approach to a rapidly oversaturated market. Apex Legends is an excellent shooter, and an excellent Battle Royale title.

The adrenaline is no longer the same as our experience with the first games in the genre, but the game design innovations and the enhanced teamplay make Apex Legends a surprisingly fair and justified title.

Apex Legends is a good Battle Royale game, both in terms of hero-shooter features and approachable gameplay. A new point of view for free Battle Royal games and players.

Even though Apex Legends has some missteps here and there, it’s still one of the better battle royale games on the market and could give the giants of the genre a serious run for their money.

Absolutely noCombines the team and class nature of Overwatch, the gunplay of COD and PUBG, and the skins/emotes/loot from Fortnite. Absolutely no pay-to-win, as all of the rewards are cosmetic. The guns feel superb, maybe a bit more arcadey than COD (the guns are pretty tight and remind me more of Halo).

Great features: jumping together as a team so the loner doesn't ruin your time. Pinging the map from the game (not the map screen) is an amazing feature than every game now needs. The mods auto-equipping if they are better than what you have and if you have the spot open on your weapon is just such a great feature. And when you switch weapons, it will auto-switch the mods.

Bad features: honestly almost none. Maybe the reload time is a bit too long? (but that just encourages you to pursue extended clips and rewards those who do) And yeah, the elephant in the room is that EA owns Respawn, but they seem to have their hands out of this one unlike Anthem, which already appears to be a full-priced game with microtransactions. This game does the MTs just like Fortnite, which is totally ok in my book. You can play the game perfectly well with them and enjoy them if you get them.

At first I was very skeptical, Titanfall without titans? I never liked PUBG and it's clones, but this one is good, give it a shot

To my surprise the game feels really nice. I'm not too big of a fan of Fortnite but this game combines an appealing art style, quality maps, solid gunplay, and good game mechanics to create an enjoyable experience. It is also nice to see a title that isn't okay to win. Expand

This won't unseat PUBG and Fortnite, not as-is anyways, but what it can do is challenge those BR titles as a free-to-play shooter that puts people into the popular first-person viewpoint and uses the Titanfall control setup and universe to offer a fast paced experience. I kind of like it but I hate playing by myself. The solo experience in this game is simply unacceptable and impossible to win. 3-person teams also feel insanely small and prevent you from playing with more of your friends should you run into a game with a premade group. Lastly, the 60-player cap feels a bit on the light side as it's possible to not see anyone until you're one of the last 10 players alive, which is really odd given how not big the map is. Apex Legends needs work. Expand

Characters feel out of place and with no back story in the game, this is detail is amplified. Gameplay however is certainly enjoyable and exciting. The game is also built for microtranscations and progression is hampered by this fact. Apex Legends borrows elements from other battle royale games or outright cut and pastes. Nothing special, without further innovation this game will suffer in the future. Expand

Ehhhh, i don't live in Germany and i don't speak German. There's no option to change it in game either, so i had to change the Xbox settings. After that it worked, everything is in English, but then i can't login because my account is locked...*sigh* I try to go to EA website and get my account unlocked, but their site is absolutely **** After a few hours of messing around after installing the game, i gave up. EA, get your **** together. I have no desire anymore to play. Expand
