Ben 10 does its license justice, but unless you're a fan of the show it just looks like a slightly above-average brawler at best. It definitely looks the part, but with its ability to switch characters missing its potential it offers an unimaginative combat system; only those seeking a trip on the Rusty Bucket to play as the likes of XLR8 or Four Arms should check it out.
while it might look like a terrible game based on the reviews and box art, it's actually an average brawler which is a fine line between mediocrity and badness.
Ben 10 hasn't been very lucky in the videogame industry, and this new chapter is no exception: poor visuals, repetitive gameplay and lackluster level design are only some of the flaws that afflict a game where no redeeming quality can be found.
Unpolished, glitchy, and short, are some of the adjectives that describe Ben 10. It is an obvious and transparent, holiday season cash-grab, that just wants to make a quick penny out of a popular IP. Sure, there are good licence games out there, but this isn't one of them. It is recommended to find something else to put under the Christmas tree, unless the receiver really is into the licence, and happens to own a Nintendo Switch without anything else to play on it…
Ben 10's latest videogame is a black hole that swallows the good ideas of this brand: the campaign is not catchy in any way and lasts less than a dinner party. And the the gameplay could give little satisfactions, but doesn't use properly the transformations available.
Conditions: I played this game with my 8 years old son who was new to videogames. I can say he had fun.
But as a gamer, I can immediately tell this game has severe flaws:
- The frame rate is not good and changes very often
- lots of glitches where you need to quit the level and restart it (especially the last world)
- the adventure is very short
But playing as Ben 10 and his aliens is pretty fun though (there are some sort of easy combos even a child can do).
I wouldn't recommend Ben 10 for the performances but for the fact of being Ben 10.
TLDR: it's not worth the money, nor the time, even if you're a huge fan of the Ben 10 saga (or if you just like this Ben 10 Reboot, this game don't deserve your purchase) the worst part is the horrible and lazy programming.

Too Long DID Read:
-Gameplay:
It's mediocre at best, it works but it isn't interesting nor fun to play, there's 3 action buttons; attack, special ability and counterattack, it may sound like something good but the counter button it's pretty useless since you gotta wait until an enemy attacks you first (spoiler; they don't) and the special ability needs to charge a special bar to use it, most special abilities are pretty useless anyways so 90% of the game you're gonna spam the attack button (which has only 3 hits no matter the character or the upgrades you have).
Story:
Pretty lame to be honest, as simple as it can be, the same goes for the characters, it's a short (but like, for really short) game so, that isn't a huge problem.
Art Style:
It's ok, it's cartoonish which was the creators' intention i guess, i don't personally like it but it's well done
Graphics:
They're bad from modeling to texture, this aspect don't have quality nor quantity, it's incredible that a brand as big as Cartoon Network would let "this" happen.
Soundtrack:
Easily forgettable, the OST suits right in the level you're playing, the volume levels are.. meh, you'd probably like to check the audio settings before starting to play, but the songs themselves are nice
Programming:
Holy. Mother. Of GOD. I couldn't believe it's possible to find worst programmers than the ones working at Game Freak, but Outright Games managed to do it (that's not a surprise coming from Outright Games but it's still disappointing that the worst part **** it's the development itself, that says a lot about the companies involved and how much effort is put in this game)
