If you’re in the market for a new horror title, and just so happen to love a puzzle or two, I’d highly recommend you spend some time with DARQ: Complete Edition on Xbox. The main game with added DLC brings together a decent chunk of gameplay for the price, and whilst it’s not a huge game the Complete Edition seems to deliver exactly what is required.

Like trying to solve your way out of a puzzle box that’s persistently creepy and occasionally nightmarish, Darq is an artistic game that leverages perspective to have your cogs turning and your head spinning. There’s a number of puzzles that rely on trial and error and stand our as low points but the rest of the game, including the 2 additional chapters, make this an easy recommendation for puzzle game fans.

It didn't take long to really get a creepy vibe from it. One the best horror games I've played in awhile. Certainly one of the most intelligent. It's really designed well. Where it makes you think, but not to much to where it's frustrating. The Puzzles and environment manipulation just really mold in nicely with the horrific story and happenings to Lloyd. Expand

Unable to wake up, Lloyd has to face his fears and decipher the meaning of the dream. As this is the complete edition, the game includes both the DLC levels that were previously released. While I thoroughly enjoyed playing through these, I felt they contributed nothing to the overall story. Perhaps I'm missing something, yet it appears to be these stages were incorporated just to give players some extra riddles to play. I would have adored it if these might have proceeded with the story but sadly they do not. The interactivity was a treat, and I wound up losing all sense of direction in the game accordingly. As you are in a horrible world, you have peculiar capacities, which permit you to stroll on dividers and roofs. By using this capacity, you can tackle various creative riddles that make you think. The trouble of this game was something I truly delighted in. I haven't played all that many riddle games and I can't say they commonly catch my eye. Rather than having a great time, they typically cause me to feel disappointed and stupid. In any case, I felt the riddles in DARQ were the perfect trouble. I needed to think and evaluate various systems however never felt like I was working which is always a good thing. It’s a perfect time to pick up the complete edition so if you’re a fan of the genre be sure to pick it up on the Xbox digital games store. Expand
