    In some ways, de Blob 2 even improves upon its predecessor. It has a much improved camera, more frequent save points, and cutscenes that don’t show their age, all of which count as plusses in my book. Further, it allows a second player to join in the fun, which is a welcome addition for a game like this one. None of these changes represent massive steps forward, to be sure. But they all contribute towards making de Blob 2 every bit as enjoyable as the original de Blob.

    de Blob 2 is absolutely worth playing if you have any fondness for 3D platformers. It's a simple yet creative concept and the sequel brings additional gameplay features that for the most part improve the overall variety of the experience. It gets a little tough and frustrating in the final third but the developers have deftly managed to avoid the majority of design obstacles for which the genre is notorious. It's an easy game to recommend in theory, but it's hard to justify the Xbox One version when the 360 version is backward compatible.

    Like in its first outing roughly six years ago, de Blob 2 is a charming and creative jump & run. But while the audiovisual design aged very well the low challenge level is more evident than ever. Which makes it perfect for a family game, on the other hand. And that is something you can’t have enough on consoles that don’t come from Nintendo.

    While it's true that it has some camera problems that can be annoying, it won't mess up the gaming experience the title offers: there's fun, humor and lots of color. A must have.

    de Blob 2 suffers from repetitive gameplay and wonky camera issues. However, if you can overlook these niggling problems, there’s a surprisingly lengthy and endearing platforming experience within. It’s not a groundbreaking game, but it is accessible, and will surely be appreciated by fans of the genre and newcomers alike.

    de Blob 2 is a solid game that I am glad has made a return. While the remaster portion is a little of a misnomer, it is nice to see the game back. Now with these two remasters out of the way hopefully THQ Nordic can get on crafting the final chapter in the Blob trilogy. Bring it back, and make it beautiful. Colorful platformers are always welcome in my world.

    There’s fun to be had here, especially in couch co-op, but the niggles sit in the mix like a bunch of wasps at a picnic; you can try to ignore them, but sooner or later they are going to sting you.

    Jump, paint and enjoy Blob 2 with the new enhancers and save the citizens of Prisma City.

    I first played de Blob 2 back in 2011 and to say it provided me with many enjoyable moments would be a massive understatement, so as you canI first played de Blob 2 back in 2011 and to say it provided me with many enjoyable moments would be a massive understatement, so as you can imagine I was very pleased to learn that it was coming to the Xbox One. Thankfully de Blob 2 retains its fun factor in a big way on the Xbox One and the added improvements that have been implemented make the game worth buying again. The gameplay feels as smooth and solid as ever and the platforming combined with the very good mechanics make playing this game a fun and very addictive experience. The addictiveness that’s present lasts for quite a while because the game has more than enough content to keep you satisfied, which is great. You will notice though that the longer you play the game the more technichal issues it has, but thankfully these don’t harm the game’s fun factor much and a small patch would sort these issues out quite easily. There are a number of levels for you to enjoy in de Blob 2 and each level has a lot of variety going for it, which in turn stops things from becoming tedious. I will say though that if you like a game that offers you a challenge then you won’t find much of one here, but I didn’t find this to be much of a problem because it meant my children could enjoy the game as well, especially when you get past the first level. I mention the first level because there are too many tutorials present and they do end up annoying you. There are many collectibles to be found in the game and without a doubt this gives the game quite a lot of replayability, and the best thing is that some of these collectibles improve Blob considerably which in turn makes playing this game even more fun. The presetation side of the game has without a doubt seen significant improvements. Visually the game looks crisper and more colourful and the accompanying music is absolutely fantastic and it never once got on my nerves, which is great. At the end of the day I love remasters where you can see the improvements that have been made and that’s definitely the case when it comes to de Blob 2. Everything feels solid and most important of all the fun factor is still present and you will no doubt have a lot of fun if you’re a fan of these games. As far as remasters go this is one of the best I’ve seen and if you loved the original then I fully recommend that you get it again.… Expand

    This games improves on the pacing of the first game
    but still fails to do anything interesting with its mechanic.
    This is a 10 hour long puzzle platformer that can be played single player or coop all about collecting colors and bringing life to the world,
    Though De blob 2 is much less tedious than the first..
    No longer is it about reaching point goals, trying to paint every last section of a level and going to different characters for tasks to move on..
    Its much more linear feeling.. its very straight forward, go to the mission spot, complete the mission and go forward..
    Much less thinking this time as well which kills this game for me..
    I didn’t like the slow pace of the original ,but it at least made me strategize and plan..
    Theres none of that here…
    its more platforming focused, youll mostly be climbing towers and getting to the top dealing with enemies and making sure you have enough of a certain color to go inside and deal with another change im not really a fan of.. a 2d puzzle platformer section of dealing with obstacles trying to again take your paint from you while youre trying to make it to a button with a certain color…
    De Blob 2 just doesn’t do enough different throughout your journey..
    It becomes a boring chore after only a couple of hours much like the first game..
    its just the same tedious missions over and over…
    The level design which I appreciate for the games pacing ultimately doesn’t improve this game in any other aspect..
    Its dul boring, and a repeat of the same objective climb this building, go inside and deal with these obstacles for 45 minites to an hr and a half to move onto the next section of the city and do it all over again kills the design… its designed to pull you along through the levels.. but theres so much rinse repeat of the same thing crammed into each level that it starts to feel slower than the first game
    it starts out promising with its turoial wanting you to bring color to the trees to move on through a cave section for example..
    And I really with this game was just 6 hours of that..
    Throw my into an area to color certain items and move on, take me through a colorful and charming adventure.. but no
    Back are the ink enemies trying to ruin your day, much less fun to deal with because this game does feel like such a chore theyre really just a nussance extending your play tiem and threatening you with losing all of your lives and restarting a challenge…
    I really like the idea of de Blob as a series..
    A 3d platofmrer where you collect colors and bring life to the world..
    give us this in a way that doesn’t feel like a chore.. give us a Mario galaxy styled game with these mechanics for de blob 3
    The potential is there, this game does things like gravity, different forms, ice sections.
    Deliver your ideas in a creative way that doesn’t feel like a tedious grind.
    Because that’s all this game really is
    Make me feel like im bringing life to the world like in folower instead of like im 7 years old being made to clean my room
    I give de blob 2
