Dreamfall: Chapters is the finale that this trilogy deserves β€” the story is top-notch, anyone coming to this with no knowledge of the previous entries will still be entertained, and longtime fans will get to finally walk away content – if not a little sad – that The Longest Journey has now come to an end.

Dreamfall Chapters for me was a wake-up call to a series I had previously missed. As an introduction to the series, it’s exciting as a standalone title, while long-time fans are sure to find a satisfying conclusion to this twenty-year saga within a package of interesting story and competent gameplay.

Dreamfall Chapters offers a unique experience and contains good dialogues. However, the quality is not as good as the Telltale games. It feels outdated.

Despite being the third part of a series, Dreamfall Chapters will draw in many new players with its striking environments and fleshed-out characters. The story is intricately woven and it's an intriguing one. Much of the game consists of cut scenes and dialogue, all of which are well-written and impressively delivered. In a rare delight, the player gets to make decisions that actually hold importance, forever changing the outcome of their story. Unfortunately, Chapters suffers during the moments it's required to be a video game as opposed to an interactive movie. Certain features aren't up to snuff, such as environment navigation, and the puzzle solutions are obscure instead of challenging. Fortunately, the story is engaging enough that Chapters is able to weather the storm brought on by the lackluster gameplay elements to become a title that both new and old fans of the series should enjoy.

Your choices seemingly don't matter much, cringeworthy/confusing dialogues quite often, and a SJW agenda storyline. You don't need to tell meYour choices seemingly don't matter much, cringeworthy/confusing dialogues quite often, and a SJW agenda storyline. You don't need to tell me how being gay is acceptable 400 times in the game and how genocide is bad 400 times in the game, I'm aware. Focus more on the storyline and actual choices instead of shoehorning politics the whole game, thanks.

If you're a fan of the whole game being about: teenage lesbians, women empowerment, and racism/bigotry is bad m'kay... this is the game for you.
