With superb production values that reminded us the ones of the TV series, Sons of Winter is the best episode of this franchise so far.
Episode 4 manages to up the ante in modest ways, and continues to indicate that Telltale knows what they're doing.

Game of Thrones: Episode 4 - Sons of Winter is the first episode to end with both intrigue and satisfaction.
The plot’s driving forth at an effective pace, the characters are each growing in their own unique ways, and things end in a way that promises a lot of huge things for episode five. If you’ve been following along with the series up to this point, you’ll definitely be gripped by this one.
It's an interest chapter, although its purpose is basically paving the road for the finale. Choices have impact (at least apparently), and the writing is quite good.
This is probably the slowest episode of the series, but we get the feeling that Telltale is getting everything ready to pull out the big guns in the final episodes.
As Telltale's Game of Thrones passes its halfway mark, it takes a bit of a dip, staging a set of scenes that feel less like something you can control and more like something you can only passively watch. There's no real sense of agency in the choices you are offered, other than spinning a conversation in a certain direction before coming full circle to a pre-determined outcome.
Summary In this fourth episode, the fate of the scattered Forresters hangs in the balance, and no one allied with the family is considered to be safe. An unexpected meeting offers Rodrik a new opportunity to free Ironrath from its Whitehill stranglehold, but with young Ryon Forrester still imprisoned, his next moves are critical. Gared must aban...
