    There is a unique charm to King’s Bounty II. It may be long, at times laborious and a bit rough around the edges, but it’s reminiscent of early 3D RPGs. And for that, it’s an enjoyable throwback.

    Yes, the quests and the story are not crazy. Yes, the technique of the game is outdated. Yes, getting around is boring and the interface painful. But you have fun creating your army, choosing among all the possibilities the best possible combination. We take pleasure in browsing this skilfully constructed universe. And we get excited as we face the challenges of the tough battles ahead. Despite its flaws, the game manages to glue the player and make them want to load up their game. You should not shy away from your pleasure.

    King's Bounty II is a title that only strategy fans will really appreciate. Gameplay is satisfying, but it is nevertheless undermined by a disappointing technical aspect and many little ingenuities that make the experience slow and tedious and that, if solved, would greatly improve the quality of life of the game.

    Manage to get through King’s Bounty II‘s battles, though, and you’ll be rewarded with engaging exploration and a decent narrative that leaves you wanting to find out more about the fate of the world you’re in. Despite not looking great, it truly is a world that begs to be explored. Unfortunately, many of the battles are simply too unforgiving and frustrating to encourage you to keep going. Reloading an old save again and again isn’t fun and ultimately, it’s hard to recommend King’s Bounty II – unless you genuinely do enjoy getting defeated again and again.

Я играл в режиме обратной совместимости на Xbox Series X, и в игре к сожалению залочен фпс на 30 кадрах.

    Честно скажу, я не играл в первую часть и дополнения, поэтому мне сложно ее сравнивать с ними. Но эта игра определенно неплоха, красивый визуал, левелдизайн, сюжет хорош, как и проработка персонажей. К тому же сейчас практически нет отечественных игр такого уровня, поэтому в данном случае можно сказать свое не пахнет и это другое.

    Разработчики обещали исправить игру, улучшить и я верю, что так и будет.    … Expand

    W King’s Bounty 2 mamy do czynienia z dwoma różnymi trybami zabawy. Pierwszy z nich to eksploracja ziem królestwa (widok zza pleców bohatera,W King’s Bounty 2 mamy do czynienia z dwoma różnymi trybami zabawy. Pierwszy z nich to eksploracja ziem królestwa (widok zza pleców bohatera, co jest nowością w serii) rodem z gier RPG. Podczas bitew przenosimy się zaś na mapę taktyczną, jak we wspominanej serii Heroes of Might & Magic, gdzie kierując posiadanymi jednostkami, musimy pokonać przeciwnika.

    Samo zwiedzanie świata ma swoje plusy, niestety również dość poważne wady. Świat gry pod względem wielkości zalicza się do tych średnich. Umieszczone są w nich mniejsze lub większe miasta/wioski, lub inne warte uwagi miejsca. W większości są to jednak dość puste połacie terenów zielonych. We wspomnianych lokacjach można znaleźć zarówno osoby zlecające nam nowe misje, handlarzy (których roli raczej nie trzeba wyjaśniać) oraz „rekruterów”, od których można nabyć nowe jednostki do swojej armii. Przemieszczając się pomiędzy „zaludnionymi” miejscami, warto jednak przeszukiwać różne zakamarki świata, gdzie twórcy umieścili całą masę skrzynek, beczek czy innych miejsc z wartościowym towarem.

    Dostępne w grze misje są dość różnorodne (od kilku ciekawych po mocno infantylne), większość z nich opiera się jednak na sprawdzonych zasadach. Twórcy zaimplementowali tutaj również pewien system „moralności”. Niektóre z dostępnych zadań możemy rozwiązać na dwa różne sposoby. Zależnie od wybranego kierunku po wykonaniu zadania obok podstawowych punktów doświadczenia otrzymujemy również punkty do siły, finezji, porządku lub anarchii (co zaś przekłada się na możliwość odblokowywania zdolności z danego drzewka).

    Przyjemność ze zwiedzania świata i wykonywania zadań psuje jednak system poruszania się postaci. Bohater przemieszcza się niebywale ociężale, tak jakby miał na sobie betonowe buciki i często dotarcie z jednego krańca miasta na drugi to prawdziwa udręka. Podobny problem dotyczy dostępnego w grze konia, którego najwyraźniej nikt nie nauczył galopu. Sytuacji nie ratują nawet dostępne w grze monumenty szybkiej podróży, których jest za mało i są źle rozmieszczone. Jest to dość poważny problem, gdyż przemieszczania się tutaj pomiędzy różnymi częściami mapy jest naprawdę bardzo dużo.

    Na całe szczęście znacznie lepiej prezentuje się tutaj system walk turowych, który został przez twórców dość dobrze przygotowany. Przed rozpoczęciem bitwy mamy wgląd w siły przeciwnika i jeśli wydają się one za silne, zawsze możemy się wycofać z potyczki i wrócić do niej później. Wpływ na walkę ma bardzo wiele czynników, między innymi parametry naszego bohatera. Statystyki postaci mają dość duże przełożenie na siłę kierowanych przez nas jednostek. Zmieniają się one wraz z kolejnymi poziomami i posiadanymi przez nas przedmiotami (różniącymi się stopniem „rzadkości”). Swoje znaczenie ma tutaj również rozwój postaci, gdzie odblokowujemy nowe zdolności w jednym z czterech drzewek rozwoju (wspomniany podział na: siłę, finezję, anarchię i porządek).
    Podział na powyższe grupy dotyczy również jednostek, które możemy wcielić do swojej armii. Ich odpowiednie połączenie ma również bardzo duży wpływ na przebieg walk, gdyż potrafią one negatywnie wpływać na swoje umiejętności (anarchia – porządek, siła – finezja). Wraz z kolejnymi potyczkami (jeśli je przeżyją) awansują one również na kolejne poziomy, stając się jeszcze potężniejsze.

    Turowa część walk jest dość dobrze przygotowana. Mapy bitew nie są duże, ale dobrze przemyślane i warto wykorzystywać różnorodność ukształtowania terenu czy rozmieszczonych tam przeszkadzajek (zanim zrobi to przeciwnik). SI jest tutaj dość wymagające (chociaż czasem zdarzają mu się głupie i zaskakujące wpadki). Sztuczna inteligencja wymusi jednak na graczu bardzo przemyślane działanie. W celu odniesienia ostatecznego sukcesu należy perfekcyjnie łączyć siłę posiadanych wojsk (i ich zdolności specjalnych) z dostępnymi czarami (ich moc i ilość użyć zależna jest od konkretnych parametrów/zdolności bohatera). Każdy ruch (szczególnie na późniejszym etapie gry) powinien być więc dość dobrze przemyślany. Na całe szczęście gra zapisuje się automatycznie przed każdą potyczką, więc nawet jeśli walka nie pójdzie zgodnie z naszymi założeniami, można spróbować innej strategii.
