And every single element of the remake, whether it's graphics, shootouts or chases, lags slightly or seriously behind its competitors in the genre.
   
   But this "Mafia" justifies its means. All of its pieces, put together, serve only one damn important task - again tell us the incredible story of Tommy Angelo in a new, convenient wrapper. For this, the game wants to give the highest rating and elevate to the top line of the best gangster games of all time.… Expand

   Mafia DE não é uma completa releitura do clássico de 2002. Enquanto há uma clara semelhança na jogabilidade e nos gráficos se comparados ao antecessor Mafia III, Mafia DE apresenta gráficos mais bonitos, jogabilidade responsiva, história espetacular e um mundo aberto mais vivo que o seu material original.
   
   Mas, é visível que a desenvolvedora Hangar 13 sofreu com um pequeno orçamento em mãos. A falta de conteúdo pós-conclusão da história principal e seus gráficos não são espetaculares se comparados a outros títulos que o sucederam.… Expand

   It's not flawless, and it actually has a couple of issues, but it makes up with a fantastic story, even better acting and the feeling you'reIt's not flawless, and it actually has a couple of issues, but it makes up with a fantastic story, even better acting and the feeling you're in a proper Hollywood mafia movie.
   
   The not so good:
   -A few graphic glitches. Nothing too offensive if you're not an absolute graphic nerd - which luckily I'm not
   -On an Xbox One S you will experience some frame rate drops. Again, not an issue if you're in this for something more than amazing graphics @ 75fps
   -Controls can be slightly clunky. You do get used to them and the game is perfectly playable and enjoyable, although it might not be the best experience of your life regarding this matter.
   
   The good:
   
   -Atmosphere is ace
   -If you played the original one when it came out, you will love the way everything has been remade in a more modern way but keeping that essence that made the first game awesome.
   -Acting - out of this world. I genuinely don't understand that some people have criticisedthe acting and/or the story. They are impeccable, period. Characters are even better than in the original game. Absolutely awesome.
   -Most of the basic features that the first game was missing are here, like being able to cover or a better melee combat.
   
   Overall, fantastic game. I might not pay £35 for it, but if you find it on offer don't hesitate. Is it perfect? No it isn't, but how many games are?
   
   Now, is it a very enjoyable experience (specially if you have nostalgia on your side) and potentially one of the best games I've ever played regarding directing and acting? Absolutely!… Expand

   unplayable...i'm in the beginning of the game where im on a foot chase and as i go to hop over a fence (you have to hop over this exact fence)unplayable...i'm in the beginning of the game where im on a foot chase and as i go to hop over a fence (you have to hop over this exact fence) my character falls through the screen. this isnt just a bug the character keeps falling so i now can see the entire city above me. after 5 seconds i fall far enough where it says "you abandoned the mission". i have retried several times and get the same thing. this is literally 15 minutes into the game. the game has been out for several months ho is there not a patch for this? oh also, i watched the video 2k launched as they were making it. saying "this is not a reversed compatible game, we are redoing the entire game. the graphics sure as hell do not look like an xbox one error game. it looks like a reversed compatible xbox 360 game. first it was watchdogs legion that sucked, then cyberpunk and now mafia DE. what a major upset 2020 was for gaming.… Expand
