In today's interconnected world, everyone wants to play with other people. Look at the most popular games now that are out there and what is one of the most common threads they all share? ONLINE MULTIPLAYER. Why, in the name of everything that is holy, would you release an amazing kart game and NOT provide it? I can say this, I'll play through, get the achievements and then I'll be deleting this game from my hard drive, because if I can't play with my friends around the country and the world, then why would I pay $14.99 for a game that should be the cat's meow, but instead, Meow Motors puts the "CAT" in catastrophe.

Despite the fact that the game is quite unrefined and poorly paced, and overlooking the AI’s rubber band functionality, Meow Motors isn’t half bad. This is one kart racer that certainly caters for the younger audience, and even with its problems in mind, it just about manages to get more right than it gets wrong. It’s colorful, it’s cutesy, and it’s fun when it works as intended, but with more time in the proverbial oven, it could have been much better.

The controls, while simple, allow for great control, and simple drifting. The game is obviously geared towards the younger crowd, but has the potential to be entertaining for everyone. The characters are all cartoon Cats, that you unlock along with the new cars as you progress the campaign mode. You also earn the power-ups, and weapons to utilize on the track as you progress through the stroy. The campaign shows off the various game modes available, intermingling them with the standard races along the way. Featuring split screen play, it could make for a decent party game for a few people at a time. This game has potential to be part of the Kart game hierarchy, and may join the ranks if it's met with enough love. The developers have spoken about multiplayer online possibilities, they just want to make sure the fans love it before launching servers for the masses. Overall this game is a decent Kart Combat Racer, with fun and inventive weapons. This is a maybe check it out, but an online multiplayer would make it complete. But if cute cats are your thing, this game has no shortage of those! Expand
