A Block and a Hard Place is my absolute favourite episode in the Minecraft Story Mode tale to date, and I certainly look forward to what surprises may be coming my way when the conclusion is released.

The conclusion to the Wither Storm storyline is delivered in a refreshing and heartfelt way, and I am looking forward to seeing what Jesse and friends get up to in the conclusion.

Overall, Episode 4 is a strong outing for Minecraft: Story Mode. By the end of the two hours, I was ready to begin the final chapter.

The change in tone set by the last episode continues, and for a while is darker and sombre than a children’s game should be. And, by the end of it, it feels like the story’s come to a close, though there’s still another episode left.

I’m still not sold on this series overall, and will give some more thorough analysis of why in the chapter five review. But episode to episode, I’m having more fun than I was at first.

This episode has some real drama which is nice and unexpected. But on the other hand some improvements are just missing. So therefore it's not the best episode.

It’s still a little too slow-paced and predictable to recommend wholeheartedly.
