It's perfectly brutal fun that will work in the right circle of friends or foes for months. Graphics, combat physics, interaction with the environment, diversity of characters and many more positives make this game an event of this season at least. [Issue#252]

Its technically precise gameplay, lean storyline and gruesomely gorgeous graphics run circles around the previous entries in the series. To be honest, this could have been a perfect game if it didn’t feel like NetherRealm was constantly trying to get me to spend extra money on it.

While the netcode needs to be improved, offline kombatants will find plenty to do and can enjoy one of the best story modes in beat-em-up history. Dear or Alive? Tekken? Street Fighter? Finish Them!

Overall, Mortal Kombat X is great. The small improvements in the fighting system make a huge difference for the better, and the new fighters feel like they fit perfectly with the old cast.

Its universe keeps getting harder and harder to take seriously, and its microtransactions are borderline gross, but Mortal Kombat X is a great fighting game all the same.

Mortal Kombat X moves forward with a snappier version of the previous game's fighting and some cool new characters, but the story and other features around the edges feel a bit rough in spots.

I just wanted to balance out the idiot who gave a zero because it is on Xbox one. This is supposed to be a game review, not an Xbox vs ps4 review.

Anyway been playing through the story and it's been very enjoyable so far. A decent campaign with some cool sequences and fights.

The game mechanics feel very tight and accurate and things seem balanced so far. Everything feels smooth apart from some slowdown at the end of a fight but I'm sure they will patch this.

The graphics are not amazing but they are decent and it looks vibrant and detailed.

My only issue is that the premium seems overpriced for jus 4 characters and some skins.

overall if you like fighting games and mortal kombat this is a solid game with lots of characters to try out.

First impressions are it is what you would expect from MK - brutal. The X Ray moves are great to pull off as are the finishing moves.

The graphics look great, the story keeps it interesting and it is genuinely fun to play with the moves not too hard to pull off after a bit of time.

Overall a very solid game. Great fighting mechanics, lots of content and unlockables.

The story mode is short, only 3 hours or so, but it is very fun with lots of twists and turns as well as many different characters to play as. The solo options are also impressive, with not only regular tower mode, but other different types of towers, "living towers" which change regularly and a few different modes.

The online is fun as well, with plenty of private and public options. I especially like the faction system, where you join a group to level it up and can participate in timed events. You earn Xp for the faction in single player as well, and there are also faction fatalities to unlock.

The krypt is where one will unlock all of there content, and there are loads of stuff to explore. It will take one quite a while to unlock everything, leaving a nice carrot on a stick for the player.

Overall, this is a great game. While the story is a bit short and there could be a few more characters (there are three in the story that I think should have been in, including rain), it is very fun and definitely worth the money.

My favourite characters to use are either Scorpion or Goro. The campaign was very fun as the gameplay was great and the story was okayish. The multiplayer was fun but again that because of the core gameplay being great. The Crypt part of the game was interesting but was bland in the end. Expand

Ridiculously fun! Much smarter, tighter combat system than ever before.

However, poor use of mocap, bad animations, weird textures, and broken online features mar the game thus far.

My full score would be a 7.6. Though that's closer to 8, the game just isn't an 8 for me.

I'm having a blast with it, nonetheless. Bring back Stryker!

Does not have classic characters like Liu Kang or Noob Saibot. DLC throughout, and a day 1 patch with a season pass. No reason to purchase this one. Also, this one is on Xbox One, which cannot handle HD graphics or 60 fps. Framerate drops throughout, low res textures, poor xbox live performance, etc. Expand
