Despite its PvP shortcomings and current framrate issues, Neverwinter proves to be a solid MMO for Xbox One owners. Although it’s certainly not a hardcore MMORPG, it’s a fantastic starting point for console gamers or those who have little experience in the genre.

A perfect example of an ugly game that has a lot to offer. If you are not the kind of gamer that judges for the graphics, this game will surprise you.

If you've been waiting for an MMO on Xbox One, this is an easy recommendation. It's not particularly deep or intricate, but there's enough content to keep you busy for a long while. The frame rates are a significant problem, but probably won't deter anyone from playing the game.

The technical issues make group play a bit of a chore at times, but the quests are varied and interesting enough to keep you coming back for more.

A valiant effort, but one that is ultimately let down by a series of technical glitches and a depressingly mute community. It is free to play, though. [Issue#124, p.83]

Given how disappointingly underwhelming this game is, and how much is locked behind pay-walls and ZEN points (Neverwinter‘s arbitrary currency purchased with real-world money), I pretty quickly decided to play something else.

okay so it's a free mmorpg that you can play on your xbox one. I feel like thats really the only reson I need to give it a 10. And yes itokay so it's a free mmorpg that you can play on your xbox one. I feel like thats really the only reson I need to give it a 10. And yes it has some really frustrating lag issues (can't tell you how many times Ive died to a dragon because of lag) and the market they have sucks, and everything on the zen market is overpriced, and the epic dungeons are impossible without a healer or tank, but this game is FUN! Ive spent many a hour playing this with my friends, and it's great! especially doing dungeons and trying to beat all your friends in damage. PLUS they have a new event every couple of days it seems, where you can get awsome weapon skins or an uncommon companion, or even a mount. I have alot of games on my one that just sit there because Ive beat them or iv ejust grown tired of them, but I would say I get on never winter just about every day, and not just to do my dailys. It's combat is fluid and fast paced and perfectly suited to the Xbox One controller design and set up and its stunning visuals make for a true hit. Until then however, it feels like you're playing a half-finished game with no real end game available until new content drops besides PVP and some group missions and dungeons to grind for gear. Enough classes toA free MMORPG that borders along P2W but still managing to keep the casual not so heavy in the wallet gamer coming back. Enough classes to play but again, are hidden behind a paywall. I don’t mind throwing developers some money for their time and services but at some point there has to be a line. I spent my fair share to unlock the slots and gear myself some but in the end what you will find about this game is that it’s fun starting out but will quickly run you ragged end game.

Good classes, easy to pick up and figure out, mostly enjoyable community and hours to spend grinding which is the point of most of these games.

As always though, I would rather pay a flat fee and have the slope be the same for all. Spending 100+ hours to get to a point some with $20 seems to scare away the masses but with such a saturated market of MMORPG’s these days and most of them wanting a subscription, this is simply another mannequin along the window.

It is yourNeverwinter doesn't do anything new or crazy in the MMO world but it does a solid job of being an accessible MMO for a console. It is your typical, grinding MMO with dungeons and PvP but does a good job introducing newer players to the game. It could do better in the tutorials of explaining each class but it doesn't hinder you too much since the beginning levels are very easy. A noticeable trend in the game is that many quests lead you to your own personal instance which takes away some of the MMO aspects but still works for a single player RPG. Dungeons are in here as well as skirmishes which are pretty much just smaller dungeons without worrying about needing the role system (Tank/Healer/DPS). However, even in dungeons, I often feel like the roles aren't even necessary. Healers are nice but I've tanked through the early dungeons as a trickster rogue. It seems like 5 people can just go in and do their own thing and still beat the dungeon pretty easily. This is nice for more casual players on a console but does bring it down compared to some other MMOs out there.

The game is free to play and some will argue pay to win. For the first 59 levels, it definitely isn't pay to win. Some enchantments are much easier to deal with for people who pay but there isn't anything that a non payer can't get for themselves.

In summary, if you like MMOs or are interested in trying a good one without paying a hefty price and own an xbox one, download Neverwinter. No cost so it should be a no brainer. Try it out, get to level 20 which shouldn't take more than a few days at most, then decide if it's for you.

This Neverwinter is an MMO, it does try to give that D&D feel and it seems to be missing every enjoyable aspect of the original Neverwinter games.

It does start with some D&D flavor. Especially in the early dungeons. But as you get to higher level dungeons all that flavor seems to disappear.

Sadly it seems to suffer from that pay to win atmosphere so many F2P games suffer from these days.

So you can pay to win. Or you can get a group of friends and farm the very small instances over and over and over again. It's a typical F2P MMO, nothing to write home about.

No matter what, DO NOT GET THIS GAME.First off just for a new race a bag and a couple other unimportant things that you will most likely never use it costs 75 dollars. Rip off much? Not to mention if you want a half decent mount the lowest you will pay is 20-25 dollars. Second,The class "Trickster rogue" is the most overpowered class to from level 1-59 (60 level cap). Not only does it have a 5 second stun (Which cannot be broken out of) it has a move which when used with the classes special feature has hit my tank class for 6k at level 49. Rediculous. Also, the class has the chance to get a special weapon which levels with you, making it the most overpowered weapon in the game until you hit 60.

Basically if you like PvP and want a fair and balanced game do not get neverwinter.
