This addition to the Series takes the dark and frightening ambiance to a new level. Between the Dark and gripping story, the lack of the ammunition need, the scarcity of healing, the resilience of the enemies, and the rest of the overwhelming odds, hopeless has more than one meaning. You play as Gwen, a mother, pushing forward to find out where her daughter Hope is (see what they did there?), through the middle of a nation wide zombie epidemic. To progress along your path you not only have to outsmart, or kill the abominations blocking it, but there are pass-codes, most linked to puzzles to keeping you thinking, and maybe taking notes, keeping you from accessing the items you need to get to the next area. Limited carry space keeps you revisiting areas to pick up supplies you had to leave for later, and there aren't enough small keys to open all of the loot, causing you to chose wisely what you take. It's constantly dark, and the game can feel under-finished at times, but overall this is a fun play for it's price, and a must for fans of the series, or unforgiving horror survivor games. Expand
